Key West, Florida Keys

The hotel

Opened on New Year's Eve 1920, Casa Marina Resort is Key West’s original grand resort, and it's just been newly renovated again! Boasting a dramatic 'water walk' that leads to the resort's two largest swimming pools and the largest private beach in Key West, Casa Marina is a tranquil oasis close enough to the action of Duval Street. Offered on-site is a booking centre for world-class diving, fishing and boating, and it also has the largest fitness facility in Key West, allowing you to work off those holiday indulgences! Guest rooms here are contemporary in style with whitewashed walls, textured tile floors and dark tropical hardwoods — a great place to retire to at the end of a busy day seeing the sights. For dining the hotel’s Sun Sun restaurant and bar, an open-air wood pavilion overlooking the pools and beach, is great for those seeking a casual atmosphere and plenty of that Floridian sun!! And as if all this wasn't enough, you can take advantage of the facilities at the sister property, The Reach, just one block away.

Brief sales incentive trip for work, which was very productive to meet my co-workers to a great way for us to recharge for the new year head. Check in and Check out was very smooth. Only change I would make if there are roommates to a room, each roommate would have their own card on file for incidentals. Guest services were very helpful. Breakfast buffet for our meetings was very good. Cocktail party on the beach was nice. Though table set up for the dinner was a bit awkward. Many people stayed seated, so it was difficult to find a place to eat. Another group must of had fireworks on the last night we were there. Nice bonus. Unfortunately not enough time to use the pool or kayaks. Read less

Locked out of suite two nights in a row. We were locked out of our room and had to have security come and deal with the lock issues for a suite two nights in a row. Additionally, they do not clean thoroughly. There was a straw on the floor all 3 days we were there.

This is a beautiful hotel located on the ocean. It has its own private beach. I have stayed in 4 hotels over the years in key west and this one is the best. Last year all the rooms were renovated and it is a very nice hotel. Room was clean and is a 5-7 minute bike ride to duval. There is a restaurant and bar on the property and also quite a few restaurants within walking distance. We were there for 5 nights and had a live musician each night. The room was clean and nice. King size bed with two chair desk a large 60” tv and bathroom with walk in shower. My room had an outside deck with patio doors. There are two pools one for adults and one for family. They had a sports rental areas at the building but I did not experience with them. Jet skis bikes kayaks etc… The staff at the hotel was nice and I really did not have a lot of need for them. Finally the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is a little pricey but you just need to remember it is key west! Read less

Beautiful hotel with a fantastic view. Rooms were clean and the grounds were stunning. Wonderful place to watch the sunset. There were weddings on the beach every night we were there. Wish the elevator was working, so we didn't have to drag the luggage cart up a ramp, but that was pretty minor.

Extremally disappointed. All the staff was grumpy and unhappy. How is possible that Management does not see it? The only friendly person in the entire hotel was the restaurant hostess ( Diana maybe? she remined my good friend with a long black hair). The only friendly person in the entire hotel was the restaurant hostess ( Diana maybe? she remined my good friend with a long black hair). The room was ok, I did not get an upgrade ( I am HH Diamond), and the room was facing the street. Expensive ( valet $45 plus tip), breakfast ( buffet - ok) at $36 plus tip. It was a rip off. Two elevators were not working so we had to use the stairs all the time, since the other elevator was too far aways on the other side of the property. I am not planning in come back when visiting Key West again. When it was the Waldorf Astoria the experience was way better. Read less
