Average at best Hotel in Montego Bay. Hotel is old and needs updating, staff is okay, food horrible. This property is not what is expected when traveling to Jamaica. Easily the worst hotel on the island. Reminiscent of a Motel 6 in the US. Food is sub par.
Weekend Trip

The staff are friendly. The hotel is spacious open and clean. The buffet was nice with varieties both local and foreign dishes. A bit of an upgrade is needed with the rooms. The area is nice and quiet. Close to the airport and other shopping market place. Security is great.

This hotel never disappoints. Every year it is the same as if we never left. Staff is great and rooms with ocean view are amazing. This hotel never disappoints. Every year it is the same as if we never left. Staff is great and rooms with ocean view are amazing. Very clean and you get privacy even at the hotel beach if you wish as it’s never over crowded. The only criticism I have since the take over from the Holiday Inn is that the sellers are no longer allowed to sell their merchandise on the grounds of the hotel but have to sit in the sea or go round with boats out in the sea instead. The guests always found it a nice touch that the two or three local guys were able to have a “gift shop” underneath the trees at the end of the beach. They are very nice and chilled and never bothered anyone. Now the tourists have to go outside the hotel to buy their gifts from the shops where you get hassled and I always find it a stressful experience. Give the three guys their spot back!! They always sold really useful and nice merchandise and guests have always really liked them there!

We were here last year under the Holiday Inn owners and had no issues. So far, this trip has nothing but problems. There are 9 of us ,4 adults and 5 kids, so we needed 3 rooms 2 adjoining. Our rooms were supposed to be ready at 3 but weren't ready until 5. When we got to the rooms the 2 that were supposed to be adjoining were across the hall from each other and one of them was already occupied and the other had a moldy smell. They did give us the room next to the other but the a/c was broken. The other room was missing the remote for the a/c and the phone didn't work. They tried to make it right by promising to upgrade our rooms the next day. They did give us upgraded rooms on the 4th floor of building 2 which were nice rooms but the elevator was broken so we had to lug everything up and down the stairs every day.
On the bright side the staff were amazing and made the trip a winner. Sharrion and Lashana of the entertainment crew were excellent. Jerome the lifeguard was great with the kids.
