We had an issue with our room. Super hot inside and not ocean view. Kyle Taylor helped us out quickly and was very friendly! Super great place. Hoping to come back again soon. Will tell friends about our stay at the Grand Hyatt Baha Mar! Great selection of restaurants.

Martique was so helpful when getting us checked in. She offered us a ton of food options and was incredibly kind! Our hotel room is very clean and the view is incredible. The reusable water bottles and filling stations are such a smart idea which we greatly appreciate as well!

I had high expectations for the Grand Hyatt BahaMar in the Bahamas, but my experience left me extremely disappointed. As a World of Hyatt Discoverist Member, I expected at least decent service, but what I encountered was far below standard, especially considering the price I paid for a One-Bedroom Residence ($900 per night). To start, upon arrival, no one helped us with our luggage. We had to carry our bags all the way to our room, this is simply unacceptable for a resort of this level. Once in the room, we noticed a smell coming from the area near the bathroom. It was unpleasant and lingered throughout our stay, making the room far from the relaxing environment we expected for the price we paid. Throughout the entire hotel, the service was consistently bad. Almost everywhere we went, we were met with unfriendly stares and bad attitudes. This wasn’t isolated to one area; whether we were at a restaurant, asking for simple things, or even getting ice cream for my kid, the staff made us feel as if our requests were a burden. Breakfast service was particularly terrible. When we requested a table change, we were told none were available. We ordered coffee with skim milk and were given soy milk instead. When we politely asked for it to be corrected, we were met with glares and attitude as if the issue was our fault. Dinner at Katsuya was another frustrating experience. We arrived 5 minutes early for our reservation, and the hostess told us we could only sit outside, even though it was windy and cold. Reluctantly, we agreed, only to be seated at the table closest to the door, which was almost impossible to enjoy. When we requested another table (still outside), we were told there were no options. I had to find an available table myself, ask to be moved, and only then were we accommodated after waiting several minutes. To add to the discomfort, my child was given a coloring paper, which blew away in the wind and got ruined. Even requesting a replacement paper turned into a hassle. It’s clear that restaurant issues are a pattern here. I spoke to other guests who shared similar experiences, despite having reservations, they had to wait anywhere from 15 to 25 minutes to be seated. Why even take reservations if they aren’t honored ? For what I paid, I genuinely expected a seamless and enjoyable stay. Instead, I encountered bad service, poor attitudes, and staff who seemed uninterested in helping guests. I’ve received far better service at hotels for less than half the price. In conclusion, I will not be returning to BahaMar and will look for alternative destinations for future family vacations. This was a huge disappointment for what was meant to be a special trip. Read less

Tyesha, at the front desk, was Amazing! She was kind, helpful, and answered all of my questions about the large group we had staying at The Grand Hyatt!!! She assisted me with over 1,000+ guest and helped me print out the necessary paperwork and directed our people where they needed to go. She was PERFECT!

Got a cabana at drift pool every day of our trip. Alexia & Richard were outstanding. Their service was so wonderful and very accommodating w our kids - even bringing a pack and play to cabana so our infant could nap! The service at Grand Hyatt has been great w everyone.
