The villa was absolutely disgusting. Our kids feet were solid black after walking on the floors for just 10 minutes. The kitchen supplies were lacking and the pots and utensils were horrible. There was patching done to the walls and no one could of taken 10 minutes to paint the patch jobs? There were holes in the wall by the beds, again couldn't… Read more

There was patching done to the walls and no one could of taken 10 minutes to paint the patch jobs? There were holes in the wall by the beds, again couldn't of fixed this? There were stains all over the carpet on the stairs. And some disturbing stains on the couch. We have stayed in a number of properties and hotels and this was by far the worst. I did complain the first time via text when asked how was our stay and no response from anyone. I highly doubt we will be back if all your rooms are this disgusting. We couldn't get over how disgusting and in need of repair our villa was. The front desk is non responsive. You call for a shuttle and no one shows up. They are rude and won't fix any issues. The person that owned the villa shouldn't of been paid anything. Read less

Great visit to Hawks Cay! I was a bit worried about some of the reviews posted but I can confidently say that the gripes from others were not what I experienced. The resort just revamped and refreshed nearly everything. Right now the marina has some construction and one of our excursions was relocated to an alternate marina but besides that, the public spaces, rooms, restaurants were really lovely. Staff very pleasant with the exception of a grumpy elderly staffer who took us to Angler in the golf cart service one night. Felt like we were bothering him- no pleasantries whatsoever….but the vast majority of the staff were all SUPER friendly. We especially enjoyed being greeted by Abu’s warm and friendly smile. Do check the hours for the restaurants as they not all open every day. We were able to eat at the Tiki bar on a Tue night because they were open for dinner (limited dinner menu) and it was REALLY good!!. We had lunch a couple of times at the Tiki bar as well and nothing disappointed. My boys loved the big Bavarian pretzels! Do note that most nights they stop serving their lunch/bar menu at 5pm on the nose!! Food at Angler and Ale was good. Food at Salt and Ash was great! Didn’t eat breakfast at resort cafe but what I saw looked yummy breakfast food .fyi-you order and bring to any open table, it’s not full service experience. I wished one of the pools/hottubs (jets don’t work well) were open past “dusk”. For us during early March that meant about 6pm. There is a lack of evening “activities” for tweens/teens. The basketball court area closed at 5 or 6pm. My room overlooked the main pool- had beautiful lagoon & water view. Do note that there is sometimes live evening music and if you have young kids or just go to bed before 10pm, you will hear music. If that’s an issue for you, request a quieter building/area. Highly recommend the Dolphin Encounter. It’s pricey but it truly a once in a lifetime experience . The lobby offered complimentary cold lemon water daily which was a nice touch. Would love to have seen a coffee/tea bar in the morning in that spot as well. Mattresses were ok, water pressure a bit weak but all in all the room was really tasteful and well thought out. Large shower….I’m a tile GROUT freak- I hate seeing discoloration (mold) in grout. The tile pattern had a “camouflage quality” but I could see some darker/blackish spots that I do believe would come out if scrubbed well with a product like Soft Scrub. Complementary bike rental was great -you have to download the app and then scan the code on bike to unlock it. Takes a few min to set up but then it’s really easy. All in all our family had a terrific stay at Hawks Cay. Memories were made and I would recommend. Read less

G at the adults pool was amazing! Thank you G! Excellent place to go and take the kids to the day camp and relax. We had an amazing time. Worth every penny. Can’t wait to come back some day! We stayed just one day on our way back from key west and wish we had stayed longer!

Absolutely loved our stay! Our 3 bedroom villa was large and spacious. The grounds were well kept and maintained. Family visited all the swimming pools and enjoyed them. We hit all the restaurants and the food was excellent. The thing I loved the most was the staff. They all were so friendly and helpful.
