My husband and I really enjoyed our time at this hotel. We were upgraded from the standard ocean view room to the ocean view suite (Hilton Diamond member), the suite was BEAUTIFUL. It had 2 full, separate bathrooms, and a full size bathtub in the main bathroom, which were such a luxury! Only complaints were that the showers only had rain-shower heads, I would have liked a side-wall mounted shower head option also. And the bed was very clean but the mattress was too firm. Restaurants and bars: Firstly, dinner reservations were easy to make when we were there. We've been to other Hilton all-inclusives where there were no reservations available and were turned away at dinner time and had to eat at the buffet, but here there were several options and had no problems eating where we wanted and when. Our first night dinner was at Auma (the steakhouse), which we loved. Food was delicious and great service. This was definitely our favorite restaurant at the resort. The second night we ate at the Japanese restaurant, which we weren't fans of. Food was ok and service very slow. Third night at the Mediterranean restaurant was in between. Beautiful views and our waiter Julian was fantastic, but food quality was average. We had great experiences with the Casa 2 pool bar during the day, and the lobby bar at night. Luciano in the lobby bar took great care of my husband! The lobby coffee shop was also great. My husband has a gluten allergy and refused to eat at the buffet after our first visit, he noticed several items were mislabeled so he didn't trust the allergen information. There were better gluten-free options at the sit-down restaurants, and there were gluten-free snacks in the coffee shop. Outside of the restaurants and bars, the pools were very nice, but the adult-only pool needed a small bar set up close by. The nearest bar was a bit far away. The beach was also nice but rocky, you need water shoes. There was entertainment every night we were there (glow party, silent disco, princess show, circus show). Things that could be improved: The public bathrooms needed more attention, some had trash on the floor, the stalls didn't lock properly, often out of toilet paper, and the paper towels and soap dispensers didn't work. The golf carts that run from the rooms to the lobby were pretty hit and miss, we would often see several going in one direction and none in the other direction. Overall we had a great time and would definitely recommend it to our friends! Read less

The staff are very friendly and welcoming. There is a good variety of restaurants. While I wouldn't call it a "foodie" destination, everything is prepared well and of reasonable quality for an all-inclusive. One highlight is the kids clubs for sure - plenty of activities everyday and staff that are really engaged in keeping the little ones happy! Great job Hilton Tulum! Read less
