Located in the heart of Miami’s South Beach on Ocean Drive, in the iconic Art Deco district. Within walking distance of a variety of eateries, galleries and shops, and steps away from the beach. Transfer time from Miami International Airport: approximately 30 minutes.

Superior Rooms feature either 1 king-size or 1 queen-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Superior Ocean View rooms have partial ocean views, with bathrobes, and either 1 king-size bed, 1 queen-size bed, or 2 full beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults. 

Deluxe Rooms are more spacious, with a side balcony and partial ocean views, featuring either 1 king-size or 1 queen-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

Junior Suites feature a sitting area with full-size sleeper sofa, and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Penthouse Ocean View rooms feature an outdoor balcony/lanai/terrace with private pool and full ocean view, as well as a sitting area, and 1 king-size bed sleeping maximum 4 adults. 

Penthouse Sunrise rooms feature an outdoor balcony/lanai/terrace with private pool and full ocean view, as well as a sitting area, and 1 king-size bed sleeping maximum 4 adults.

I have arrived 5 hours before my check-in. Lily welcomed me with a smile and some delicious sparkling wine. The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. I have arrived 5 hours before my check-in. Lily welcomed me with a smile and some delicious sparkling wine. The staff here goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. I was able to leave my luggages and change in the very large bathroom available by the reception. Around 1:30pm I got called and Lace let me know my room was ready for me (check in was 4pm). Then Harold walked me to my room - and carried my luggage! My room was not in the main building, it was right next door and we had to go through a restaurant and an ice cream shop to get to an elevator that took me to the room. It was like I going to a speak easy in New York, I loved it. Then once in the room I was very pleasantly surprised of how spacious and comfortable the room is. The shower is amazing and all toiletries are very good. I wasn’t given a coffee machine, so I called reception and in 5 minutes the machine was there. Honestly everyone seem so happy to help and be there. The location is amazing. In front of Lummus Park. Full of life, there was live music every night. A delicious Cuban restaurant (that the hotel has a discount with). Honestly I would definitely come back. One thing to know, you are literally in the middle of party city, so there will be music until 2:30 am by your window. I can sleep, but light sleepers would have a hard time sleeping before 2:00 am! But for late sleepers, this is your place! Read less

This has to be one of the best check in experiences I have ever had! Lily, Lacey, and Martin took extremely good care of us! Not only did we get a free upgrade but we also received a bottle of wine for my husband’s birthday! They treated us like royalty

I can not say enough great things about our stay at Hotel Breakwater. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and taken care of. Lily was able to get us checked in hours earlier than check-in originally, it really helped make the most of our first day! The bar next door does play loud music but it really is not that loud and does not play all night. The location was perfect, close to everything. We utilized the free bikes and had the most wonderful bike ride through Miami, a moment i’ll never forget. Lily, Harold and Lacey were all extremely hospitable and treated us so well. A lot of reviews on here are negative but please take it with a grain of salt, so often people only review when they are unhappy but my husband and I had the best week in South Beach and most of it was thanks to this wonderful hotel. It was clean, smelled amazing, had fun things like champagne fridays, and wonderful, friendly humans working at every shift. Thank you for a wonderful stay, we will be back soon! Read less

She called when my room was ready much before the check in time and provided beach chairs and towels while waiting to enjoy the spectacular beach just across the street from the hotel. You can tell she loves her job! Location is perfect for walking all around south beach. Be sure to check out the shows at the Palace every night! Can’t wait to return! Read less
