The resort has so much potential but has fallen extremely below my expectations compared to previous stays at Hilton, RIU and Iberostar resorts. - property buildings have deferred maintenance and look unkept from uneven paint, wall stains and roofing damage see photo. -lack of signage in halls directing you to your room or other buildings and amenities - with an upgrade pool suite I expect wait service at my suite for drinks and snacks. this never happen . - A resort this side should have regular shuttle service with marked pick up and drop off spots for the older and physically challenged. - meal reservations were difficult and system inaccurate . - felt like “lights out” @ 10pm for bar service at an adult resort pool side. What I liked… - i rolled my ankle and Nurse assistances was VERY helpful. - transfer worked well. For 12 hours of travel from LAX to MBJ not sure this was my best value or if i’d do this resort again. Read less

We had the absolute pleasure of dining at the Chef’s Table at Urban Heatz, and I can honestly say it was one of the most incredible meals we’ve ever had and kne of the best decisions of this vacation. Chef Julean blew us away with a menu that was thoughtful, creative, and absolutely delicious. She took the time to consider our preferences and explained each dish with so much care that it felt like a truly special experience. The night started with a shrimp cocktail paired with the most amazing homemade spicy cocktail sauce. Then came a butternut squash soup so rich and flavorful that I’m still dreaming about it and probably will be for months to come. The next course was a fresh and salad with grilled apple, corn, and a balanced balsamic dressing. The amuse-bouche of sorbet in champagne set us up perfectly for the main event: a ribeye steak seasoned to perfection, topped with tender chicken in a mango glaze. The spices on the steak and chicken were some of the best we've ever had. We thought we were done for the night but couldn't turn down dessert - —a rich chocolate cake paired with a plate of cookies to take with us. Renay, our server, was just as exceptional—attentive, kind, and so personable. Both Chef Julean and Renay made the experience unforgettable. We even asked them to come back to New York with us because the meal was that good! If you have the chance to experience the Chef’s Table at Urban Heatz, don’t miss it. Be sure to keep an open mind because no two dinners are ever the same. The food, the service, and the entire evening were unforgettable. Thank you, Chef Julean and team, for giving us a night we’ll be talking about for years to come and trying to recreate these dishes at home. Read less

I would not recommend this location. I have stayed at other Hyatt All-Inclusive resorts and this was by far the worst. The condition of the property was not great. It was dirty most everywhere you went. My room was the only highlight as I had an upgrade and the Zilara building was much nicer than the Ritz building rooms. The food was really bad except for breakfast. The people were nice in Jamaica, but like most Caribbean experiences the service is bad but you need to expect this. I ordered pizza while at the beach and even though I never moved I never got my food and never saw the server. They do not provide good service, such as simple server common sense that when you fill up water and coffee take the cup off the table. This may not seem like a big deal till water and coffee are spilled on you. That happened to me and 2 others in my party while at breakfast and dinner. Some of the food was inedible at dinner. The cafes were terrible compared to other all-inclusive to enjoy pastries, ice cream, and such. They were so dirty and when you got there most of the pastries were gone and they don't replenish for other guests. The grounds are run down along with the buildings. It is obvious where the Ritz once stood, but they look like the threw up some new paint 10 years ago and opened the Hyatt. The gym was nice with a lot of equipment, water, and towels, but no one was on the premise making sure equipment was clean as some of the equipment was nasty with sweat. My guess is this place is poorly managed, or they don't have much of a budget. If the Hyatt management team came to inspect the property, I believe they would be upset. We did golf at Cinnamon Hill and we enjoyed ourselves. Rather expensive to have a 5 min drive which they charged $50 for round trip and you could have walked. Not a big deal but giving readers a full understanding of what to expect. I rarely write a review but this property had many imperfections that should be mentioned for others to consider another resort. I read a bunch of reviews and found similar issues which is concerning they are not making attempts to improve the resort. Another minor issue that some may find unimportant was that the pool was uncomfortable getting into. Yes this is subjective but when it was obviously uncomfortable for people to get in and took most a while to get comfortable, then it is simply to cold. If you know the water is cold this time of the year, then turn the heater on so the guests can enjoy the pool experience rather than not wanting to get in because it felt like ice water. BTW, i don't mind cold water and this was cold for me. My suggestion is if you are going to use your points, want All-Inclusive, and want a great family experience, this would not be the hotel I would consider with family or couples. I was happy my family was not at this resort. It felt like it also catered to a different crowd if you are used to nicer hotels and would like good food as part of your trip. If you go, just eat the italian restaurant. Read less
