    In Fujairah, on the east coast of the UAE, situated on the Indian Ocean. Transfer time from Dubai International Airport: 1 hour 30 minutes.

    All Inclusive of: buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner in Views restaurant. Guests can also enjoy a 3-course menu at Sapore and Taste restaurant. Selected brands of mineral water, soft drinks, beer, house wine and selected spirits served by the glass at selected bars and restaurants. Restrictions apply and supplements will apply to some items.

    Dine Around All Inclusive option: includes buffet breakfast in the Views Restaurant, lunch or dinner in any of the restaurants on either buffet or à la carte basis. Supplements will apply to some items. Selected premium brands of mineral water, soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits served by the glass at selected bars and restaurants. Restrictions apply. Midday snacks at the Baywatch Pool and Beach Bar from 4:00pm-5:00pm. Restrictions apply.

    Deluxe Balcony Rooms have a spacious private balcony, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

    Le Méridien Club Rooms are located on the 15th floor and above with balconies offering views across the ocean, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

    Royal Club guests enjoy Express Check-In and Check-Out services, plus complimentary services such as free Wi-Fi internet, English breakfast, one set of clothing pressed, Royal Club Lounge Access with its welcome amenities including high speed internet, complimentary refreshments throughout the day and Happy Hour.

    I would like to express my thanks to the staff for such a wonderful stay in Le Meridien Al Aqah in February half term. This is third time we have stayed there, and within two weeks of returning home, we had already booked our fourth! I felt compelled to write a review and explain why this is the case. The service there is fabulous, everyone is very welcoming and dedicated to providing the best customer service and experience. We love so many things about this place but special mentions are deserving of those who went above and beyond. One of our favourite memories of our holiday are our lunches in Gonu. The food is delicious, and the service is second to none. What a wonderful ambience, overlooking the beach. Our children were able to play on the beach and bar swings while we waited for our food to be served. This helped us to relax, everyone was happy! We loved having dinner in Sapore and Taste, again the food is excellent- compliments to the Chefs. After dinner, it was great to enjoy a drink or two whilst the kids played with others on the beach volleyball court. Eman takes great effort to make guests happy with both the lunchtime aqua gym and evening entertainment. She is so lovely, and it's very nice to see such a friendly familiar face every time we return. Thomas and his team by the pool are both warm and diligent in their duties. The beach and pool bar team are very attentive and make some yummy cocktails! Hari was great in the kids club. Very nice with kids and keen to make sure we all enjoyed spending time there. Took good responsibility whilst we left our daughter to have fun with friends there. And the concierge team were so helpful arranging transport for us, so we could explore the local shops! My final comment however must be about your colleagues on the reception desk who I believe went over and above what we would expect in terms of customer care as we were leaving the hotel. Our 5 year old autistic son was becoming understandably very dysregulated upon check out. To be honest, none of us wanted to go home! We discovered that he had mislaid one of his treasured souvenirs, a camel (!) whilst we were packing our belongings. I asked the lady working on Reception to enquire in case it had been found. She could see that our son was getting more and more upset at the thought of leaving one of his new toys behind and our airport transfer was waiting for us. She arranged for a colleague to procure one from the hotel shop and our son was absolutely delighted to have 'his' camel back. Such a thoughtful touch, which made a huge difference to our little boy. I was so impressed by this level of care. You don't get that these days in many places and it's details like this that make us want to return, year after year. The familiarity of the environment is crucial, travelling with a neurodiverse child, but the little touches make it a special place to holiday for us all. Thank you. Read less

    Maybe I had too high expectations, but we left this resort underwhelmed. Perhaps this was a 5 star hotel when it opened 20 years ago, but it definitely feels about 10-15 years past its prime, especially compared to the more modern intercontinental next door. Nothing is bad about this hotel, but it certainly isn’t premium or luxury. On the plus side, staff were friendly and were quick for requests. Room was clean and the view was very nice. On the downside, upon arrival at 16:30 our room wasn’t ready yet which was disappointing. Staff made an excuse that it’s because they wanted to upgrade the room, but the “upgraded” room type was showing in my bonvoy app for a week previous, so this definitely wasn’t a last minute upgrade. Another downside was the club level offering. Food was very average at best and the happy hour used some of the cheapest spirits possible (Rostov and Teachers). Also in the astro bar they were playing music from a free Spotify account with ads, so every few minutes an ad interrupted the music. Little things like this help make this not a 5 star hotel. Facility wise the property is a bit run down. Nothing egregious but it could use a refresh. Most of the free activity equipment seemed well used and the little mini-putt course was only accessible for an extra charge. Beach was fine - on par with other resorts in the area. Overall it seemed that the main clientele were families with small kids from Dubai for a weekend getaway or tourists from Eastern Europe. Probably a one and done stay for us. Too many other better options in the UAE for the same price point. Read less

    I never recommend anything to anyone as people always have different views of things. So I will simply write my experiences at the Al Aqah having just completed my third 3 week stay there and you can determine if the hotel maybe for you. The staff are superb and extremely friendly and polite. The rooms are large and the bathrooms equally so with separate toilet, walk in shower and bath. The hotel is exceptionally clean throughout and the various pathways in the grounds forever being swept. The swimming pool is large with a separate area for children. There is a ‘Kids Club’ to keep the kids happy and away from the guests!!! The Premium Inclusive package that I always take allows you to eat in the Grill, Thai, Indian, Italian and Baywatch Beach Bar as well as being able to partake of your favourite drinks throughout the day. The food served in these restaurants is excellent and one of the main reasons why I like this hotel. I cannot comment on the Buffet restaurant as I have never eaten there as I dislike Buffets!!!!!! There is not a lot to do except relax and enjoy yourself, swim and go for walk on the beach or enjoy the sunshine. Would I go again - for sure. Read less

We were fortunate that we had a balcony which added to the enjoyment. The room was spacious, clean with excellent bathroom (separate shower). 3- Well managed hotel with superb staff. We were welcomed by Rose at check in who was very professional and helpful. Dario was excellent arranging all our transportation and took care of our luggage. The staff in the restaurants / pool/ beach were all very helpful with a smile. 4- We enjoyed our stay as a couple but the resort also has extensive facilities for kids of all ages. 5- We visited most of the restaurants and had a good expieriance at all of them. The seafood restaurant was a tad expensive but the closeness to the waves and view of teh ocean made up for it. We had a delicious Pizza at the Italian restaurant for lunch. We also ate there for supper ( we had a wonderful server from Burma). The combo Thai/Indian restaurant had a lovely outdoor terrace and good food. The Buffet restaurant had a very extensive offering for breakfast including an egg station and food catering to people from different parts of the world. 6- I have elite status with Marriott so had access to their lounge which was open limited hours but offered delicious afternoon tea offering. We were nicely acknowledged as elite. We had only booked 2 nights to try out the resort/area. We plan on returning and staying longer. Read less
