Ocean views, central location and a relaxed island-style atmosphere awaits you at the Park Shore Waikiki. Cross the road and you'll be on the beach in seconds, where you can rent fun inflatables from Beach Candy Waikiki, or try your hand at a spot of surfing (it has to be done in Hawaii doesn't it?!). We recommend choosing a Diamond Head Ocean View room for the best combination when you look out from your private balcony, but you'll also find these great views from the pool deck. You can indulge in your cravings no matter what time of day at Lulu's - there's flavours for everyone to enjoy alongside live music, local draft beers and big screens for sports viewing. This is a great base to explore, with Honolulu Zoo right next door, and Kuhio Beach on the other side, with a whole host of restaurants, bars and shops within walking distance too.

We spent most our time in the ocean but did use the pool a couple times and it was refreshing on hot days. The Beach Candy rentals were handy. Lulu’s was great and we ate there once a day.

We wanted to stay a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Honolulu and this place does not disappoint!

3. There are some nice amenities, lovely pool, free reef-safe sunscreen, they give you a water bottle and there is a refill station,)
4. The rooms and common areas are a little worn but clean and well kept.
One thing I didn't expect but I actually like it... The room is serviced every 3rd day. I like that. I always felt like I had to clean for the housekeeping staff.

BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CHARGES ON YOUR CARD WHEN STAYING HERE.
We recently stayed 5 nights and we were returned guest booking directly. Our anniversary trip was turned sour when we checked out and was given a surprise bill of $500 for smoking when we did not! They have a silly smoking detector claiming we smoked during the morning hours of the day we are checking out!
For starters, no one called us to warn us about the charge and the front desk + manager has zero customer service.
We explained to them we were sleeping at that time so how could the detector go off?
We asked the front desk manager to go check the room and he will see that it is in perfect condition with no evidence of smoke. He declined to do this and totally ignored our REASONABLE request to resolve this issue.
They were not understanding at all and was given a generic script to explain why they weren’t going to waive it.
Being in the hotel industry myself for over 10 years I am truly shocked how okay the front desk was with me leaving unsatisfied. As a former General manager, I would not recommend this hotel any longer. I stayed at many hotels with lots of problems before but I would always return if issues are resolved and most importantly that the staff is genuine and do their job to take care of the guests
Why would we smoke the very last day and risk being in trouble? We didnt smoke in the room at all, but suddenly there is smoke detected in our room on the day of check OUT? Sounds like just a desperate way to make a buck.
It makes for a sour experience because now I have to dispute with my credit card company. Feels like a slap to the face after spending thousands of dollars and tipping every team member along the way.
Other reasons why we would not return:
- the lobby is deceiving. The rooms are extremely dated
- no service everyday and took over 30 minutes to get towels delivered
- roach found in our bathroom and was told it’s a normal thing to happen. Just wow.
- seen staff members smoking their vape in the halls
- right infront of the busiest street with homeless at night causing fights. Do not stay if looking for peace & quiet.
- water in shower was always cold. Had to wait 10 minutes for it to finally get hot.
- staff is not trained on how to take care of guests when problems arise and extremely dismissive.

Great location and value

The lobby is open and welcoming with plenty of seating. They have a game room with TV's nearby as well. The location cant be beat. 50' from Kuhio beach, which is less crowded than Waikiki. There's good snorkeling by the pier. More importantly, green space to the left of the hotel by the zoo. If you walk to the left, you'll find numerous green…

Seems a world away from Waikiki. The pool overlooks the ocean and is a nice place to relax.
Our room didnt have hot water upon arrival, but they fixed it the next day. The rooms are dated, but we didnt spend much time there. The staff was helpful and utilized text messaging for any concerns. The amenities included with the resort were nice as well. Attached to the hotel are Starbucks, ABC store and a small restaurant.

First and foremost their customer service is without peer. From our check-in to check-out everyone is helpful and friendly. Whether it’s information about Waikīkī, restaurants, reservations, attractions, etc., guest services wants to make sure you are served very well! We didn’t need our room serviced, but we did request more coffee, which was provided daily, yea!
The location and views are excellent! The location is the absolute best on Waikiki, right across from the beach, the zoo, and just a short distance from the aquarium. The view from our room & balcony was magnificent. We could see both Diamond Head and the ocean, wonderful!
The lobby is cool modern, rooms are functional and very clean. I LOVE the lion coffee and Keurig coffee makers in the rooms. It’s also nice to have the refrigerator & microwave for reheating leftovers.
There are 2 restaurants on site, Yoshitsune and Lulu’s. We enjoyed dining at both of them. Yoshitsune is a very traditional Japanese restaurant, with excellent food. We enjoyed both our Japanese breakfasts and dinners, primarily seafood. We also enjoyed our dinners at Lulu’s, food and service were both exceptional, as was the entertainment.
One area for improvement would be to freshen up the 2nd & 3rd floor areas (including the pool), which are looking a little careworn.
If we’re lucky enough to return to Honolulu, we’ll definitely stay here again!
