We had an unforgettable stay at this hotel, nestled in a truly magical natural setting. Surrounded by lush greenery, it felt like a hidden paradise. The arrival and departure by tractor added a fun and unique touch to the experience. Departure was especially well-organized, with breakfast prepared for the journey. The speedboat transfer costs 900 baht per adult, but children travel for free – a great perk for families. Villas: Charming but in Need of Renovation The villas are quite old on the outside and would benefit from some exterior renovation. However, inside, they are clean and fairly comfortable. The beds were cozy, and we slept very well. Great Food with a Few Drawbacks We ate very well throughout our stay, and breakfast was excellent – especially the French toasts! One downside at breakfast was the constant screeching noise of chairs being dragged across the floor and the echoing voices inside the restaurant, which created an unpleasant atmosphere. We found a perfect solution by choosing to dine in the outdoor area of the buffet – much quieter and with better service. We didn’t try the Grotto restaurant as the meal prices were simply too high for a family. Facilities and Services The pool was a bit dirty during our visit, and the buggy service was very slow. Another important note: if you’re sensitive to noise, avoid villas near the beach – the boat traffic is constant throughout the day and can be annoying. The poolside furniture could also be of higher quality, it could better match the overall experience On the plus side, the hotel offers an on-site medical service, that we needed which is very reassuring. And don’t forget to pack plenty of mosquito repellent – you’ll need it! Read less

It's billed as a unique hotel and it totally is ! I've been blessed and fortunate to travel a lot in my life (hopefully lots more to go) and this is an outstanding experience. The hotel is nestled in essentially a Forrest on a beach (3 beaches actually). You really do feel like you are living in this vast forest property but with all the amenities of a modern hotel. However the forest and nature take center stage. Service, like everywhere in Thailand, is impeccable and always polite. Rooms are large and best I've stayed in for this type of holiday. It's 2 floors so myself and my wife had a nice bedroom and large bathroom, whilst my daughter (13) had the entire downstairs area with a nice comfy bed they had set up plus a downstairs toilet. Only a small annoyance was no storage downstairs. I think the hotel should provide a clothes rail. The hotel breakfast was good quality in a nice setting, Buffett style and menu options - all part of the package. Hotel restaurants are good , especially the Thai Restaurant and the Grotto. I am not a huge fan of the Asian restaurant at the beach , food is ok (nothing bad, busy not great).. Setting is very nice however in the day tike too many people on the beach right next to the restaurant sometimes sat almost at your table , slightly off putting .The Grotto gets some poor reviews at times on various platforms , I am perplexed by this as the setting is likely the top 10 place you will ever eat in! stunning views especially at sunset. the Grotto food is really good and has a good set of options (menu is very different between day and night). Yes It is not a high restaurant (although very expensive) but it's solid food, nothing wrong with it when I went, and I am very picky about food. . The slow cooked lamb shoulder for 2 was off the charts . In fact if anything it was too big. My daughter has steak and again very good. Please go for the setting, service and good you won't regret it. As for the pool area, this is is massive !! Literally ! The pool must be 35-40 meters in length and just as wide. Great infinity view over the beach. Oh And you get the odd Monkey visit :) who come down looking for food.. The pool is on Railey beach west (which is the much nicer partz east is basically a port) which is maybe the controversial part and will split people as it is busy with boats and people. However I loved it ! The beach is, yes , very very busy due to the tuk tuk boats etc. However don't overlook how beautiful the beach is in the morning and at night ! This is part of what Thailand island hopping life is. Also 'walking street' again on West Railey beach has loads of bars and restaurants which in first inspection might look like it's only for backpackers. However it is not ! Loads of families go there and we had some excellent food , very good and cheap. Great quality , zero issues. We have been to 'Railay Thai Cuisine' restaurant several times several times and the quality was great , freshly BBQd prawns, which were massive, plus all the usual all great Thai dishes at very good prices. Gets a relatively low score again I don't know why as there is zero wrong with the food , again I am picky and it was fine. Some people are moaning about the service, it can be slow at times for drinks , but the food service was fine. As for the best part of the hotel (so many to chose) Phranag Beach and umbrellas tree grove is stunning. Once you're here you will not want to leave, great place to relax overlooking the ocean and you can see Phi Phi islands in the background. The sundown there is unforgettable!.. in summary come to this hotel and it will not be a regret it You will have an amazing time and be thinking about how and when you will come back. Read less
