My sister and I were guests from December 5-10, 2024. We were there with 6 other friends. We stayed in room 1321. I was excited to go because all the YouTube reviews and Royalton ads advised this was a brand "new" resort. New means never used, New construction, New New. It was not. This was a rebrand or new ownership, but definitely NOT new. So that was a disappointment. The rooms were nice a little small but nice upgrades. (TV Menu - never had any info). Bathroom was modern with a great rain Forrest shower and plenty of counter space. However, they often ran out of washcloths. The overall staff was great. Our room attendant (forgot her name) check with us, Jenstar, hostess at Elements always greated us with the best smile for breakfast and sat us near each other. Now my biggest complaint was my visit to the spa. On arrival day, I cracked two nails and needed repairs. I have dip polish and my nails were very long (natural nails no tips) went to the spa on the 6th and asked if they were able to repair my dip nails and give me a pedicure. They did not have the dip products but had gel nail products which was fine until I get back home. I should have been advised that they did NOT have the proper equipment to do repairs. A NAIL DRILL OR UV DRYER. Only had a emory board and ONE mini uv nail dryer (4 fingers). AND CHARGED $140 UP FRONT FOR this subpar service. I WAS there from 11:45 am - 3:35 pm my Entire first full day was sitting in the nail salon. I had Jameicka, my nail tech, just cut all my nails off to reduce the time of trying to soak the polish off. She was great. The manager was there & not once came in to check on me and she saw how long I was in that salon. If I was told the truth, I could have gone into town and got my nails done within an hour at 1/2 the cost and maintain my natural nail length. I was in a foreign country and wasn't going to protest too loud cause I wasn't getting out before the 10th. I would write my reviews and contact corporate once I return. Read less

I was soooooo worried as some of the reviews were terrifying fortunately we went ahead with our holiday and it was amazing! The resort is beautiful and super clean - like spotlessly clean. We have been to 20+ all inclusive in our lives so are well versed in AI’s Rooms were great. I read people complaining they were small. Ours had a kings size bed, a small seating area, ample dressers and closet space and a balcony. Very clean and modern. Beds super comfortable. Cleaners came daily. Decorated our room for my birthday- super sweet! Beach- WOW!! White sand, turquoise water. Lots of chairs with umbrellas. Walked beach end to end daily - 40 min walk. Pool- nice temp. We used quiet pool. Very well kept Food- so many options and delicious. Went to all the restaurants and were very satisfied. Food truck first day was a bit chaotic - lots of people, very slow service so we just went elsewhere the rest of the days so can’t speak to any improvement. Buffet always had tons of choices - lots of fruit and veg options. Loved the coffee bar for cappuccinos, pastries and ice cream Staff- incredibly kind and friendly. Please remember to tip - the workers are very hard working. We had so many managers asking how to improve or what they could do to better our stay. The buffet was closed Tuesday night apparently but we had booked a restaurant so didn’t even realize it. Shows -seemed fun but we didn’t go to many- we are early risers. They were very loud but we turned our white noise on and just went to sleep lol We weren’t DC just regular. We can’t wait to go back! Read less

All-inclusive Royalton chic hotel in Antigua. 1. On arrival, had to wait for quite a bit and ask twice for someone to take me to the room as we were in building 1 in far side of the resort. 2. Went to every restaurant on resort, service super slow. We have seen some other couple walked away because of it on our first night. 3. Food very average, can’t say that there were any highlights to remember. Basically, one kitchen cook for all site in resort and everything is just basic. Big canteen. 4. Room: Was good and tidy, for some reason the toilet didn’t looked aligned, and installed slightly sideway.. Nevertheless, every time we flushed, clear water was overflowing and leaked from back of the tank and on bathroom floor. This made room humid. We made a several comments to the housekeeping and was told that someone will fix it, but it never happened. 5. Cherry on the cake was a beach attendant and that all of a sudden decided to close beach around 5pm, right on sunset, and started to intimidate all customers by giving looks, talking nonsenses and exhibiting a angry postures with cries hands and so on.. kicking everyone out at the end, we stayed lat as we found thus amusingly stupid. On top of all he was picking up the rubbish of the beach tables, like straws and napkins and trouwing all into the sea.. Crazy, never seen such an attitude in five start resort and especially islanders that not respecting the island, guests and I presume themselves… 6. Most of the staff doesn’t know where is things around hotel and we were 2 days on Ping Pong table quest We will never comeback and I better put my money elsewhere on the island in the future. What to do: Train, train and train all the staff, perhaps each shift the shift leader need to brief their teams. and split all eateries to individual business units, so they will be different and deliver unique and exciting gastronomic experiences. Good luck Read less

Antonio was great as the instructor for aquafit at the Royalton Chic. Very energetic and fun. He was also helpful with those with restrictions to modify the workout. I would recommend him for all the classes. Had a good workout while on vacation

Daniel was a great instructor fun & respectful … it’s difficult doing aerobics in a pool but it was fun & I felt the burn in my legs & arms! Daniel made the class easy to learn his smile lit up the outside with the beautiful ladies of course! Thanks
