Resort itself was beautiful along with the rooms. Bellboys were all great. Front desk was always willing to help no matter what. Bars - were all great. I wished I remembered the name of the young lad at the courtyard/sports bar he was awesome(shorter with short dreads) We could only eat at the ala cart restaurants for dinner and no buffet. Was told that was because of the hotel being only at 20% capacity. We tried the Italian restaurant (Grazie) some of our food was terrible and some was ok, but our waitress Rocheal was great. Next we had the buffet for breakfast and lunch most days while on the resort - service and food was good and had a decent selection. The French restaurant (Ma Maison) was really good and better yet our waiter Jamal was awesome. The Indian restaurant (Taj) was good, but when you ask if you want spicy and there is no heat, I would hate to see what no spice was. Royalton Fit - Ronesiha and Jeremy along with one other gentleman did a great job with aqua fitness, except for one day when they came up to the main pool and saw only 6 people there and didn't have aqua fit that day. Entertainment - Kaunda, Kimikka, Kaiana, George, Brandon, Ninja and others did a great job day and night. My only suggestion is to have more going on like every hour especially at the main pool because they one do one game and only DJ music the rest of the time. I don't know if this was because the boss was on vacation or due to the small amount of people on the resort. By far the best entertainment was when Kimani and Brandon were around it seemed like they all tried harder. Overall it was a pleasant experience, but very quite(probably) due to only about 100 people there. Read less

We booked our trip to Grenada via TUI and stayed at The Royalton Resort and Spa for 2 weeks. Never once heard from TUI and owe all the support we needed owing to two accidents to the team of the Royalton. Simply amazing team. We booked the Diamond Club area with a swim up pool. I was slightly worried before we left as reviews throughout 2024 have been mixed, but with an open mind we went ahead and overall the holiday and resort was so much better than all the negative reviews. That said, having spent time talking to staff, and time with the management it is very clear why there were such poor experiences by other guests over the last year. Our personal experience and reviews as follows. On arrival to the resort, the taxi dropped us at main reception where the concierge greeted us. No sooner had we given our name they located our reservation and said we had a checkin down at the Diamond Club lounge and were taken by buggies, effortlessly. Smooth checkin at DC and introduced to our Butler, Quaver. We were given a warm welcome, a superb introduction to the resort and our room and amenities and given information on how to order room service or which restaurants were still serving food. Our room….. a large spacious room, not quite the size of Royalton St Lucia but ample none the less. We had a super king bed but be aware some rooms only have queen beds x 2. The only thing I found odd was no amenities like ear buds or cotton wool pads or nail file, but it didn’t bother us as we travel with some. Our room was beautifully cleaned every single day and we never had to ask or chase for towels or any missing drinks for the fridge. First time in 30 years. Beautiful and great thanks go to Agnus and our Butlers, Quaver and Lister. The view from the room was stunning and perfect location although please note Swim ups don’t really get a lot of sunshine. The first few days the DC buffet was below par owing to previous management ways, however it soon improved and by our second week a marked improvement and plenty of food. I expect this will continue to improve. There is an abundance of branded spirits and soft drinks, and tea and coffee and lots of bottled water. Staff are super friendly. The DC beach and pool area is peaceful and the bar staff amazing. The pools amazingly clean and water crystal clear. Friendly and efficient and special shout to Meia and her team and to the beach staff, Jamie, Rocky and ZeliD. Always ensuring we were looked after and hydrated. Restaurants….. we ate at all 3, preferring Italian and French. The Indian wasn’t really up to par and TBH not something I want on a Caribbean island. We love Indian food but would have preferred more Caribbean/South American food. My comment on the restaurants is the menu was the same for 2 weeks. Maybe change it each week. Buffet. We never went without food and there was always plenty to choose from at breakfast, lunch and dinner. Be very mindful you’re staying on a small island who import most of their food. Not everything will be available everyday so please please please be appreciative of the food the teams do provide and be open to try something different. You can have smoothies specifically made and omelettes and pancakes made fresh if you prefer. Again we also saw great improvements in our 2 weeks so can only imagine this was Peval and his team and they continue the improvements going forward. Cafe…. Again, great and much improved in the 2 weeks and we loved the invention of different options when whipped cream wasn’t available for the coffees. Be open to trying something different. Shout out to Tiffany and Kia Ana. The hotel grounds are beautiful and well kept. You may be lucky to see ‘Iggy’ and other wildlife. There are golf buggies to get you round, but walking is so much better for you, so explore. The resort is not complicated and impossible to get lost. The beaches are stunning. The staff……. Beyond helpful, friendly and amazing. When you understand what they have gone through over the last year you will understand why some may not be full of joy, but believe me, take the time to talk to them, you will raise a smile and finish as friends. I have far too many Royalton Team members to mention as they were all amazing but some of the following are owed special thanks for going above and beyond to help my partner and I throughout our stay. In no particular order…… Quaver and Lister our Butlers, along with Lee as back-up to Quaver one evening; William, head of DC club along with his Team Leaders. We cannot thank you enough for your care and attention during our stay and specifically our second week. Thank you. To the management team, Pilar, Peval and Jesse, a million thanks for your support during our stay and for the amazing farewell. You are a great team and I hope with all my heart the Royalton returns to the amazing resort it deserves to be. To all the Bar staff at the DC pool bar, thank you; to the beach staff - thank you. To all the restaurant hosts - thank you and special mention to the beautiful Kerisha & Candace and the amazing waitress at the Italian - Donisha. To all potential guests, we say, the hotel hit a very bad patch, we did see some evidence, but in our 2 weeks saw more positives than negatives and see the strength of a great management team who will take the hotel to a much better place. The island is stunning. And thank to the nurses onsite for their amazing support to my partner throughout our stay. Merry Christmas and the very best for 2025. Read less

Staff were kind and generous. Typically with a busy work schedule so took advantage of hotel amenities such as royal fit classes and the gym. Aqua fit a good and challenging workout if not used to water workouts. Bootcamp was a great start in the morning!. Very relaxing resort if that's what you are looking for...:)

We had high expectations for our stay given the Marriott’s reputation for excellence, but unfortunately, we encountered several challenges during our visit. Upon arriving at 4PM, we learned that the buffet was closed. The staff kindly informed us that we could dine at any of their restaurants without reservations that evening. However, when we arrived at the restaurant at 9:20PM, we were told that we could not be seated after 8:45PM. The restaurant closes at 10pm. This was quite disappointing, especially since we were very hungry. As a result, we had to seek dining options off the property. Additionally, after returning to the resort at 2AM from a local bar, we found that there was no buggy service available, and we were instructed to walk to our rooms. Unfortunately, this led to us getting lost on the property for nearly 45 minutes. When we reached the front desk for assistance, the staff mentioned they had security, but I was unfamiliar with the layout of the resort, which added more frustration and disappointment. We also experienced low water pressure in our room, the fridge was not stocked, and the pool area lacked entertainment such as music or activities, making it feel a bit dull overall. While I appreciate the efforts of the staff, these issues contributed to a less than ideal experience during our stay. I hope this feedback can be used to enhance the experience for future guests.
