I spent last weekend at Royalton Saint Lucia, and I had a wonderful time. Beautiful blue skies, great food, & great entertainment. I especially enjoyed the foam parties at the pool that Sam (vibe team) invited me and my friends to. Sam's wonderful and vibes and great energy was exactly what me and my friends needed to have a GOOD time.

Overall our stay was very nice… all staff were excellent, both friendly and helpful. In general the resort was very well kept, however there were areas that are “tired and needing update” especially decor. I found it very strange to see staff utilising a few glasses by constantly re-washing and using straight away, no straws available, along with some very popular spirits such as Aperol spritz..??? The room was spacious, air con brilliant with a lovely beach/sea view. The reception on arrival was just ridiculous, and the strangest thing in 2024 to have four wristband crimped on literally with pliers (which subsequently fell off after a few days..) no one advised his to find our room, after well over an hour no bags had turned up at the room, when I went looking they hadn’t moved out on the drop off bus area out front of hotel..!!! The girls in the coffee shop need special mention as cool, calm, polite even under pressure..👏👏 the food selection in the main restaurant was excellent, we tried the Italian, Mexican and Steak restaurants and found all very good, although lacking atmosphere. Overall, I would recommend this resort, it’s not perfect but it is very, very good..!! Alex. Read less

Where do I start? We spent a huge amount of money to come to the Royalton for a once in a lifetime trip in St Lucia and we were thoroughly disappointed. Firstly, the staff (not all of them) have a SERIOUS attitude problem. Reception staff in the hideaway are awful and they were willing to start an argument the moment we arrived when we flagged we had asked for two queen beds and were given a king bed. No apologies, just defensive and stand off-ish behaviour. When we checked-out they didn’t ask once about how we found our stay! I witnessed bar staff simply ignoring and walking away from packed bars and waiting guests, one night I had to go to three separate bars to try and get drinks and when i finally did manage to get served, the barman picked up dirty cups off the bar and rinsed them down with water before filling them up with my order! Gross. Our first night we waited 1hr and a half for food in the Dorado, blamed on a 50th birthday party also dining which was a poor excuse. The hostess could do care less about us, walking past miserably over and over again. Staff answering our questions across the resort responded with blunt and rude responses, “can i have a coffee?” “Not working”no apologies, just shrugging and tutting! Exactly the same in the restaurants “could i get the fish?” “We have none”. Manners cost nothing and these staff need serious training in customer service. I genuinely have experienced more polite staff in budget 1/2 star hotels. The food (minus the Japanese restaurant) was poor, lukewarm and tasteless. If you like queuing, you’ll love the buffet which took us 40 minutes to get a seat. The last few nights of our stay we left the resort and dined elsewhere, where also the staff could not be nicer to us!How Royalton gets away with calling this 5* star luxury food is a joke. We did enjoy the Japanese however, with the chefs showing off their skills and we tipped them generously. I’m rating the hotel a 2 out of 5 purely down to the hospitality of our butlers who made up for everyone else. They were very helpful, kind and went out of their way to help us on every occasion. But really, they were doing alot of the job that a good receptionist / housekeeper should be doing. I.e stocking mini fridges, bringing toilet roll, ensuring rooms are cleaned etc. Also, the view from our balcony was stunning and the grounds of this hotel are beautifully kept. To sum up, this hotel could be so much more than what it is. It certainly isn’t 5* quality. We spoke not to 1, but loads of fellow guests who all had similar opinions to ours. It’s seriously mis-managed and overpriced and needs a serious overhaul. Don’t waste your money and go to another resort! Read less

My experience was 0. From the time we arrived. It was utter chaos. Bags were delayed to be delivered to room, room key bracelets were not working. The guy dropping us off in the golf cart took off so fast my mother didn’t even get on properly that’s how much of in a rush he was. Luckily she was ok. But imagine she injured here???!!!! They don’t give a crap. Only main escalator was not working for the duration of our trip, 6 days we had to walk up and down, despite any health concerns. The elevators all of them were hot and musty at least 100 degrees. Took forever for the door to open. Imagine getting stuck in there. Service people ALL of them were pretentious want tips to do a simple task. And my group was very generous 10usd every time and still received stink nasty attitudes. My uncle was choking from dry throat I asked for water from the bar, I couldn’t find our bartender, the girl looked at me and asked her nicely with a sense of urgency and still no water In sight. I had to wait for the bartender servicing us to get the water. Everywhere and everyone had more problems than the guests. There was one lady at the DIPS bar was very nice once the money started flowing. Otherwise food was equal if not worse than peoples attitude. The room had cigarette burn marks. Guest used the soap holder as ashtrays then decided to wash it and reuse it for other guests to put soap in. Tiles from the pool are falling off. Paint was peeling in the staircase like asbestos. I can’t imagine if someone dies from this. I wanted to host a party for my mom and the event planner takes 3 days to respond to emails 2 months in advance. Apparently she was quick to write back because she knew we’re arriving soon. The group event menu was senseless and did not accommodate our group of luxury people. Don’t even think this place is luxury. I could have stayed home and that would have been better off. I ended up celebrating her birthday at another boutique hotel which was fantastic!!!! La miason get there right before sunset. My group of 30 spent almost 80k for travel and eating accommodations outside the resort because the food was so bad. Let’s talk about taxi service, it’s highway robbery they charge 100 bucks for going 2 miles to Rodney bay and back for 5 people. Then they expect tip after that. No way will I or my people will ever return to st Lucia. They are not deserving of one red cent. Do not waste your money but most importantly your time at such a horrific “luxury” place. I can keep going on the terrible issues we encountered but why? It’s all bad!!!!! I personally did not agree to pick this place, but my group decided it was the better option because of the kids. Worst mistake! And for those who gave this place and outstanding review you need to reevaluate your life because this place is NOT it. Let’s not talk about the terrible roads. Be sure your life insurance is up to date before you go here. Read less
