On Treasure Island, overlooking a fabulous stretch of sandy beach. John's Pass Fishing and Shopping Village is within easy walking distance. St Petersburg is 6 miles away. Distance from Tampa International Airport: 27.5 miles.

154 suites on 6 floors in 1 building with lifts. 

2-Bedroom Suites are 870 sq ft in size, featuring a private balcony with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico, air-conditioning and ceiling fans, 2 bedrooms with 1 king-size bed in the master and 1 queen-size bed in the second bedroom, 2 bathrooms, separate dining and living room with queen-size sofa bed, complimentary WiFi access, 3 cable TVs with DVD player, direct-dial telephone, full kitchen with washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer. Suites sleep maximum 4 adults and 2 children. 

Please note: As this is a self-catering hotel, housekeeping services will not be included in your stay.

Café Restaurant is open daily from 8am-5pm for breakfast, lunch, snacks, and refreshments. Tiki Beach Bar is conveniently located near the on-site pools and beach access.

Large resort swimming pool with separate children's pool. 2 whirlpools. Fitness centre. Table tennis. Beach volleyball. Sun Loungers onsite are free and available on a first come basis. On the beach there is a city licensed vendor that rents cabanas for a fee (two loungers and an umbrella) by the hour/day/week, as well as renting paddle-boards. Water sports*. Golf* and tennis* are available nearby.

Skip this place. Needs cleaning and pest control. We stayed the weekend. Suite was not particularly clean but could have probably overlooked that if not for the roaches. Realize this area has had a rough go of it this year, but if you are open and renting rooms, it is reasonable to expect that they will be free of bugs. This place has clearly let maintenance go, and the housekeeping standards are obviously lax. Furniture and surfaces were stained and dirty (living room couch and stove surface). Stay away. Read less

The maintenance and cleanliness of the apartment is totally disappointing, disgusting. Our bed was broken underneath. The bathroom and shower were disgusting with mold stains. The HVAC filter was 100% clogged with dirt and we got sick. Obviously no one supervises these apartments, much less the employees who do the cleaning. I do not recommend Sunset Vistas unless it is through an Airbnb rental. Read less

Stayed at the Sunset Vistas from 7/18-7/21, total of 3 nights. Stayed in 1 room with family (total of 4 people). Total price was over $1800. This price was ridiculous. Over $300 per night per couple. NO maid service. No clean towels. No garbage emptied. 2nd bedroom had full size bed, no queen. TV in 2nd bedroom was 19". No "guide" on TV… Read more

It was wonderful. The condo was so nice, and looked out over the beach. It was clean and everyone employed there were pleasant to us. It was perfect for our family. We were with three generations. White beaches, cleanliness, hospitality. What more could you want?

We just returned from a week at Sunset Vistas. This was our 2nd year staying here in a gulf view suite. I called and asked to stay in the same unit as last and to have a travel crib placed in the room. At checkin- given a room on the south side (not what I requested) and no travel crib. The furniture was filthy, worn and stained. Broken tile, broken fixtures and cabinets falling apart. We did our best to look beyond the physical condition of the room but after doing laundry in the in unit machines and having black streaks and some items with small tears- I was livid. 3 out of the 5 elevators were out of service and the remaining 2 were excessively hot and smelled- flooring in one was noticeably in need of repair. The pool is large but not once did we see anyone skimming the pool ( prior year the pool was serviced almost daily before opening) and the water had a continuous mix of bugs, debris, and sunscreen floating on the surface by the stairs. We could scratch the “film” off the tile pool surround at the water line with our fingers. Very disappointed this time around and will not be returning to this “resort”. Read less
