We enjoyed our stay, the location is great for getting to the beaches and local bars and restaurants. Loads of shops and place on your doorstep for convenience also. You get an umbrella (nicest ones on the beach IMO, and two sun lounges and beach towels each day) I loved the decor and it’s thoughtfully designed which I appreciated. Good amount of shaded areas. Good balcony size, decent mirrors in the room. The free use of washing machines and dryers x 2 on each floor is a great touch. Just buy your own powder from any of the nearby shops. Also loved the shower/dressing rooms which you can book if you have a later flight but an 11am check out. The place largely feels modern and fresh. The bathroom and kitchen need upgrades as do the general interior of the rooms, but the design is great. I feel Like it will get there and is a project in progress. It’s on a busy road which is not great for everyone but fine for us. We had been on the west coast and Grenada so were ripe for the buzz of the south coast. The main thing that lets this place down are some of the staff. It had a big impact on me, as I like to sit at hotel bars and get to know the other guests. Zion on reception was wonderful as was Leonardo who I believe mainly served food and drinks. Others were kind also, but these two really stuck out for us. So friendly, cheery and happy to engage with guests. Thank you 🙏🏽 The bar staff need to work on their customer service skills. The bar is often the heart and soul of any hotel, especially in the Caribbean, and they seemed irritated when you disturbed them for a drink. Another reviewer called it tourist fatigue. On one occasion I paid $25 Barbados dollars (not including service charge) for a white wine. The barman with the beard and black polo shirt uniform emptied the last of a bottle in my glass that didn’t even come up to 125ml. When I asked if that was all, he looked me dead in the eye and said yep. He knew this was the first drink he had served me and that I was not happy and he simply didn’t care. It was also clearly old and quite unpleasant. I decided not to say anything else. I did notice others complain about the wine. A few days later I tried another drink. Strawberry daiquiri. I had raspberry as there was no strawberry left. They took ages making it, despite no other customers. I saw the barman sniff a carton which contained something for the drink. What I was served was white, looked like a split pina colada, like it had separated. It tasted nothing like raspberry and I could taste hardly any alcohol. They knew it was wrong. They didn’t care and served it anyway. Rude. After a few sips I decided not again. I’m sending this back. After they debated it in earshot of me they made me a mango one which was better, but there was no apology they were clearly put out. I sent my husband up to sort the tab out as I was so uncomfortable. That was the last drink I ever ordered there. There is lots of competition. This place is a great location but this service will put customers off. Most evenings the bar was empty apart from nights with entertainment. The treatment I had from the bar staff was deeply unpleasant, and not what anyone should expect on holiday. Read less

The hotel is in a great location, right opposite lovely Rockley beach and close to many restaurants. There's also a supermarket nearby. Staff are lovely and very helpfulful. They can help arrange excursions and have good recommendations for local restaurants. My room was very comfortable and quiet and the balcony is a lovely place to sit to watch the world by. I also had a pleasant drink in the bar one afternoon and the wine was excellent (South African chenin blanc). I heard no noise at all from either other rooms or the street, and the aircon was pretty quiet. Breakfast was adequate for me as I'm not a huge breakfast eater but some may find the choice and variety rather limited. The granola was very tasty and fresh eggs can be cooked on request. The only negative with this hotel for me was that there was no hot water from the shower for the short duration of my stay which was disappointing (I did let it run for several minutes as advised by front desk). Overall it was a very pleasant stay and I'd happily stay here again should I return to Barbados. Read less

Staff were wonderful and friendly. Breakfasts were amazing with variety everyday. Complimentary beach chairs and umbrella was such a convenient feature. If you are a runner or walker, the boardwalk is steps away from the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

We booked this hotel specifically because it wasn’t all inclusive. The staff, service, room and location of this hotel were way beyond our expectations. All team members were friendly and helpful and rooms were spacious, clean and very well equipped We couldn’t have asked for more & can’t wait to return. Highly recommended.

Love this place and will come back next year. Good location and the hotel is clean and well equipped. Staff are so friendly and helpful and have good knowledge of the area. Did an island tour with Troy and driver Ryan and was one of the best tours we have ever done. Troy and Ryan were excellent and we even managed rum tasting which was not part of the tour so hats off to them. The tour felt very personalised to the people on it and went to places where others would not have gone. Would highly recommend this hotel and the island tour Read less
