We have returned from a wonderful stay at the Sarojin and have enjoyed a holiday of a lifetime. On arrival, we were lucky to have an upgrade from a pool room to a jacuzzi room and were warmly greeted by the lovely Aoi, Kade and the rest of the team. The jacuzzi room exceeded our expectations and it was such a comfortable stay. The housekeeping team are fantastic, everything is spotless and catered for. The food offered in both restaurants is fantastic, there are some great plant based options of offer which makes a nice change. Sitting having a pre dinner cocktail in the Edge bar overlooking the ocean is a memory that we will cherish. If you do want to venture out there are some nice simple restaurants close by along the beach, just remember to take your torch so you can avoid stepping on the hermit crabs. Breakfast is a joy to have, the team are all very friendly and look after everything so well. Big thanks to Sai, Kwan, Chai, Na and everyone else. Not having to get up early to have breakfast is such a good idea and the choice on offer is extensive so you never get bored of the same thing. We're missing our Acai Berry bowls already! We booked a trip to Kao Lak Elephant Home followed by a look round a local market and a river boat tour. We were accompanied by the lovely Sonya (and the lovely Sak who drove us) who made the experience first rate. She was so attentive and warm it was a pleasure to spend time with her. She thought of everything, even a plastic bag for me to put my wet bikini in after having a mud bath with elephants! We spent most days relaxing at the beach as it was so comfortable. There were always sunbeds available and we were looked after so well by the team, a big thanks to Peak, San and Pol who were all so lovely. The hotel has such a relaxing feel to it, it's very welcoming without being intrusive. This is because of the wonderful team, everyone is a joy to be around and we'd like to thank everyone for making our stay so enjoyable. I don't usually write such lengthy reviews but it's easy to do so with the Sarojin. We would love to return one day and are already thinking about booking again. Read less

The Sarojin is uniquely beautiful and hard to beat.... from the resort close to nature ... to the extremely nice staff ... to the gastronomic offer ... to the great beach ... to the spa in the rainforest....and of course a great ‘Garden Room* - a highlight!!! 🙂 A must for ‘discerning’ travellers looking for pure nature and tranquillity.

A beautiful and relaxing hotel, with first class service. Two restaurants both offering Michelin quality food. Gorgeous setting, wonderful staff. Beautiful swimming pool with bar and food service. Comfortable loungers on the beach with refreshments served. Overall an amazing hotel and one that would definitely return too

I really really wanted to give a rating of 5 following all the other reviews but simply can’t. We chose this resort over all others because of the reviews we read and sadly have left feeling disappointed. Without sounding pretentious or picky I will say that my husband and I have travelled to many destinations and stayed at high end resorts when celebrating major milestones like our wedding anniversary. This trip was to celebrate our 30th anniversary so the choice of resort was particularly important, had to be special. We stayed in the Jacuzzi suite which is at a higher cost and understand there are only 2 of these at the resort. Whilst pretty not very functional. The jacuzzi is in an outside area but if anyone knows Thailand you know it’s tropical and rains a bit, even if for a short period of time. When it did rain we were confined to our suite and the use of the jacuzzi would have been great but it has no shelter from the rain. The outdoor area where the jacuzzi is is quite extensive but again no shelter to even sit outside whilst raining. Complete waste of space and money spent on an area that if it had a bit of shelter could be used when the weather was not great for the beach or the pool. Other type of rooms appears to have a sheltered area so we could see other couples just chilling on their day beds enjoying the sound of the tropical rain. When we did use the jacuzzi it was great but again only when it didn’t rain. The suite itself is pretty to look at but also not functional with a day bed that is really not comfortable and chairs that don’t even face the TV (not that we go on holidays to watch TV but just saying, strange layout). Lighting in the bathroom is awful particularly for us girls trying to do their face, thankfully there is a small make up mirror to the rescue. Hair dryer is great but no iron in the room so you probably need to request that if required. Restaurants: 2 on site. One was where breakfast was held each morning and a European type place for dinner and the other near the beach was the Thai restaurant. Each morning we had breakfast and it was lovely but not a buffet which is what you would normally expect. You could choose a number of items from the menu (al a carte) and could order as many times as you want. It was nice but again if you’re used to having a lavish buffet with egg stations to choose from this is not the place. I love a great buffet so it was a little bit of a let down. The concept however of an all day breakfast being available is a great idea but think a buffet will always win so you could try different items without feeling like you have to order again and again. The Thai restaurant is good but not great and quite expensive compared to going into town and having dinner at what seems like an endless amount of choice which is what we did. We ended up going into Khao Lak central a couple of nights but preferred the Bang Niang area which is only 5kms away from the resort . This has a market that runs a few days a week - really cool vibe and lots of places to choose from for great Thai food at great cost. As this was a very special trip for us we organized a private dinner at the Waterfall and for that we will be eternally grateful as this was truly the highlight of staying at this resort. The very expensive dinner was so worth every cent as it was a spectacular location lit up with over 500 real candles and it felt very special so would totally recommend this for a special occasion- was beyond perfect in every way. What was a let down however was that there was simply no acknowledgement during our stay of our milestone- no sparkling on arrival, no in room decoration on our bed when we returned from our special dinner- nothing at all. Whilst this shouldn’t be expected it was disappointing as the resort were well aware of the nature of our stay as we were engaging them ahead of our stay for the dinner we wanted to secure. As I’ve said before we have celebrated many milestones at many 5 star resorts (Bora Bora, Maldives, Mexico, and even Thailand last year) and every one of them recognized our special celebrations in some way - not at The Sarojin. When choosing a resort to celebrate a very special event and to thank guests for choosing their resort we just thought it would have been a nice added touch as a thank you for staying there. Check out facilities were good - we didnt have to leave first thing so were able to use the resort for most of our last day and they do offer a room to shower and freshen up before departure. Service - outstanding as you would expect and the staff do an amazing job to make you feel welcome. We would like to thank all of the staff there and sorry if we have forgotten someone but would especially like to thank Tu, Tom, Jom, Mon, O, Sa, Pol, Thip, Kwan, Peak and ofcourse the fabulous chef (sorry couldnt see your name due to your apron) who cooked our special waterfall dinner for us. The staff make this place and we are truly grateful for your wonderful service. The front desk team are also great if you need to book a restaurant on site or elsewhere and can also organize transport into town - flat rate of $300BHT one way that can be charged to your room. I just feel like management should be more attuned to their guests celebrations as this also shows a sense of appreciation that their resort was chosen. Guests will come and go but the memories guests have of such special celebrations stay with them forever. Read less

We came to the Sarojin for our honeymoon after initially planning on booking the Caribbean and all I can say is.. incredible! We are so glad we changed to Thailand and specifically the Sarojin as everything about this hotel is impeccable. On arrival we were warmly greeted by June and the team, despite the rain it was clear how luxurious the hotel was. We stayed in a pool residence and jacuzzi suite, both of which were fantastic and had everything we could have needed throughout our trip- the rooms were spotless and maintained to a high standard. The highlight of our trip was the waterfall private dining experience, incredible doesn’t do this experience justice- location, food, staff were all amazing! All our dining experiences and drinks at sundown was were fantastic with lots of variety. We were taken care of around the pool by Tu and team, all of whom were professional and friendly. The one thing that shone for us from the moment we arrived were the people, all staff were friendly, attentive and professional. We are still in awe of this and are sure this made an already great hotel outstanding! Thank you for the most incredible honeymoon, we will certainly be back! Read less
