The Shores Resort & Spa makes the most of its first-class setting on the white sands of Daytona Beach. Its oceanfront deck plays host to a pool, Jacuzzi, tiki bar, comfy cabanas, and fire cauldrons, where you can toast marshmallows for beachside s’mores as evening draws in. And the hotel’s restaurant, Azure, also exploits its location: you can enjoy its fine dining menu on its beachfront terrace. To give you the true Daytona Beach experience, this luxury spa hotel has also teamed up with recreation providers like Pure Life Surf School, giving you discounted surfing lessons, and LPGA International, offering special rates at their golf courses. This is a tradition for my Mom and I to take a staycation when I visit her in Florida. And The Shores Resort and Spa never disappoints! From the time we arrive at valet parking, check in, lunch, spa, cocktail hour at the bar, dinner, breakfast and a drink at the Tiki Bar before we leave. We enjoy it every time!

Excellent hotel. The staff was efficient but extremely friendly. They all went over and above to make sure we were comfortable and had an excellent experience.

One of the ultimate BEST during our stay was the Happy Hour at The Shores. Clinton, the bartender, was an amazing addition to our stay. After our first visit, he would see us coming and have our drinks set up for us. He became ANOTHER family member for our 2 month stay. It is VERY rare that you meet someone you truly look forward to seeing as often as possible, but that was Clinton. We hope with all our hearts that the management at The Shores realizes they were blessed the day they hired him and they do ANYTHING necessary to keep him as the bar keeper. We look forward to spending time with him again next year when we return. Read less

You can not advertise you are an "Upscale Resort" and have outdated, dirty décor. It looks nice at first glance but if you take a look things are DIRTY. There is mystery stains in the carpet, our floor didn't light up in the middle elevator, some of the outlet covers were crooked, there was a single dingy shower curtain in our room, the base boards were dusty. The ice machine on floor 5 looked like it wasn't up to code-it was so dusty. It was not clean and I don't think it had been deep cleaned in a while. I understand a resort fee but if your Guests don't partake in the amenities you are offering that just feels like a money grab. The restaurant was overpriced for mediocre food at best and the serving staff couldn't get rid of you faster. The Shores is banking on people going to the beach to make it worth it, but when you're staying during the winter and it's too cold-you have time to focus on the interior details and it's not pretty. Staff and general manager could care less that you are a guest. Hotel is in need of updating. Not an enjoyable staff and we won’t return. There are better properties to stay at in Daytona.
