Where is it

Located on Huruvalhi Island, Raa Atoll, to the Northwest of Male. Transfer time from Malé International Airport: 40 minutes by seaplane (remember to pack light for the seaplane transfer as luggage allowance is 20kg plus 5kg hand luggage, per person).

Hotel information

115 villas, all featuring a king size bed, separate day bed, air conditioning, plunge pool, sun loungers with private decks, direct access to lagoon or beach, mini-bar*, tea/coffee-making facilities, flat screen TV, mood lighting, soaking bathtub and shower with disco ball, flat-screen TV, custom bath amenities, comfy bathrobes, WiFi, and an activity wall. Lagoon Overwater Pool Villa’s feature direct water access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Board basis options

Breakfast Included: all stays include daily buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice in the main restaurant Kula.

Half Board option: two-meal plan, including daily buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice included, and dinner in main restaurant Kula. All guests on Half Board meal plan will receive a dinner credit of USD 45 per person per day for specialty restaurants.

Full Board option: three-meal plan, including daily buffet breakfast with coffee, tea and juice included, lunch, and dinner in the main restaurant Kula. All guests on Full Board meal plan will receive a dinner credit of USD 45 per person per day for specialty restaurants.

All-Inclusive option: breakfast, lunch and dinner with select beverages served at Kula Restaurant only. Select alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages (valid at Kula, Todis, Joos Cafe, Guduguda, and BBQ Shak during operating hours). Select mini-bar items replenished once daily. For stays of 5 nights or more, guests will receive resort credit of $50 USD per villa per stay.

All-Inclusive Plus: breakfast is served at Kula Restaurant, lunch is served at Kula Restaurant, Joos café, and Todis; and dinner is served at Kula Restaurant, Guduguda, BBQ Shak, Beru Bar (IZAKAYA), and Joos Café. At speciality restaurants – pre booking required. Selected beverages are available in all restaurants, bars and cafe: Premium brands of spirits, beer, liqueur, unlimited cocktails and mocktails, signature drinks, various juices, soft drinks, mineral water and selection of tea/coffee, Champagne, and over 50 plus selections of premium wines, Prosecco and sparkling wines from all around the world. Rare selections of wine and spirit not covered in All Inclusive Plus but are discounted by 25%. Mini-bar will be replenished once daily and two wines, two bottles of spirits of choice, 4 beers, soft drinks and water will be included. A bottle of sparkling wine will be included on arrival. Water sport: kayaks (excluding glass bottom), standup paddle, wind surfing 1-hour per day and 10% discount on other selected water sports activities. Excursions: one excursion is included from a choice of sunset fishing/dolphin cruise/snorkelling safari and/island hopping experience with 2 local islands. The Standard Spa: $50 credit per person per stay. Laundry: one standard bag laundry per stay (dry-cleaning not available).

Ocean Overwater Pool Villas are situated just a few meters away from the house reef, with amazing, uninterrupted ocean views. These villas feature a partial open-air bathroom, as well as direct water access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults.

Lagoon Beach Pool Villas offer 137 sqm of living space with a king-sized bed, a separate daybed, a private deck with sun loungers and a plunge pool, an open-air bathroom with a giant bathtub, double vanity sinks and stellar views of the white sand beach. Sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

Ocean Beach Pool Villas have gorgeous views of the white sand beach and ocean, with direct beach access from the private deck and 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 3 adults, or 2 adults and 2 children.

We've returned for a second time to The Standard Maldives this year, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we began planning our trip, we knew we’d be in good hands. It’s truly the perfect place to unwind, relax, and feel cared for—right from before our arrival to the moment we left. Our trip started on the best note, thanks to our amazing host, *Shamaau*, who once again proved why he’s simply the best. He went above and beyond to anticipate our needs, often providing thoughtful surprises just when we needed them most. A special highlight was catching up with him over a lovely dinner at the restaurant of our choice, which added a deeply personal touch to our experience. When we forgot a special gift for our son, Shamaau saved the day by arranging a seamless replacement, ensuring our celebration went off without a hitch. His warmth and attention to detail truly made this trip unforgettable for our family. The incredible staff at the various F&B outlets deserve endless praise. Lama crafts the most amazing drinks, and Chef Rajesh delighted us with not only his culinary creations but also his engaging conversations. Doris, Ayu, Mr. D, Eemsz, Hari, Jennifer, Shah, Santosh, Bavan, and Enes turned every mealtime into a joyful and memorable occasion. Each of them brought their unique touch, making us feel so welcomed and cared for. We’d also like to give a special shoutout to the Carpe Diem water sports team: Salty, Unaish, and Khalid. Their hospitality and expertise made every visit to the water sports center a pleasure. A heartfelt thanks especially to Unaish, who took us on incredible snorkeling and fishing adventures, where we encountered vibrant schools of fish, graceful rays, curious sharks, and majestic turtles—moments we will cherish forever. Our lovely housekeeper, Rabbi, also deserves high praise for ensuring our villa was immaculately clean and well-stocked each day. His thoughtful gestures, like preparing the most beautiful bath for us, added such a luxurious touch to our stay. The outstanding Standard experience continued even as we departed the resort. The airport staff, particularly Basu, handled everything with expert efficiency, whisking us through the bustling departure area with ease. Thanks to him, we bypassed the heat and queues in no time. Breathtaking views from our ocean water villa with pool, amazing food at all restaurants especially Kula (breakfast, anniversary dinner by the beach, Beru izakaya set menu was yumm, gudu guda experience menu was soo good, authentic maldivian food, bbq shak yummy wagyu). Breakfast menu was so filling. continental, american, asian, indian, including dosas and chutney!! crepes, dumplings, and barrista brewed latte, cappuccino and masala chai to finish it up. You name it or wish for it and its available in their buffet breakfast ! I have attached some photos. Entertainments were next level, Mikey is a superb all-rounder- he taught us zumba, bachata, salsa and did an amazing fire dance and led performance. Service is HANDS DOWN !!! Starting with out beloved host Poula, he was the best... he and the management did so much to make our anniversary so special (surprise cake, room decorations, bath bubble, champagne) loved it man. Followed by the service from the bar and restaurant staffs, Hari, Santosh, Jennifer, Sai, Chef Rajesh, Umair, Anupam, Faisal was soooo nice to us during the dinner service and he even took some photos for us and shown us how to click the best photos in iphone, Sean at the beru, Commercial director Lijo and the F&B manager Dinesh. Aradhika was super lovely, affirmation cards activity was soo good. Sunset yoga is a must! I may have missed few more names, but I will always remember your warm smiles...More than the vacation, we are going to miss this amazing staff family. you guys touched our soul. ❤️❤️❤️ Loved the pool, the snorkelling, coconut fishing, aqua activities, and watching live fish and baby sharks by the walk was unbelievable...crystal clear water sparkling shining in the sun. Photo studio session left us with very good take home memories. Lots of freeeee inclusions that the resort gave for its guests. Perfect holiday, will miss everything, we didn't want to checkout...but hopefully return sooooon !!! Exemplary value for money and best resort in the Maldives! Our trip to the Standard Hotel was great and very welcoming. I would really really recommend this place for you to come relax and enjoy your time in Maldives. Exceptionally wonderful hotel. We would like to thank especially several names so that when you are here definitely they will make your time here more enjoyable. Karan, the yoga instructor, is amazing, very welcoming, very nice yoga Classes so definitely join his classes. Dr. Aradhana is the holistic practitioner in the hotel and she changed my life, I had to the time to experience lots of sessions with her and she is amazing, she will make feel a lot more balanced in life. Definitely, make time for her as well. Riya is a great massage therapist so when you go to the spa and get a massage, you should request her. She is really good. Aizi who is working in the reception deserve another delightful thanks from us since she was very helpful and made our stay here so much more comfortable. Lastly, Poula, our island host, he is young but sooo helpful. He was very responsive, he always asked how we were doing, really cared for us and made this trip so much better.
