1) The spa was dirty. There were dead cockroaches in the shower, dirty crockery on every surface, and the surfaces were sticky from spilled beverages. 2) The spa is tiny. The "tranquility room" consisted of 4 loungers facing each other. If you are alone, and there is a couple across you, it can feel very awkward. Especially if you're there for tranquility rather than socialising. The jacuzzi has a maximum occupancy of 1. The other jacuzzi was a bit bigger but was occupied by a couple making out with each other. The salt water pool is in a dark dinghy corner and can admit 2 people. The changing room is tiny and there are no actual seperate rooms to change in. It felt more like a tiny gym locker room than a spa. I walked in on someone with her bits and pieces out and about, and she and I were both startled. Not the spa for you, if you're not an exhibitionist. 3) The facilities are unisex, and the couples packages happen in the same area. If you're a solo female, be aware that there is a chance you could be surrounded by men. Or by couples who love a bit of PDA. 4) The treatment rooms are along the same corridor as the change room, and at the end of the corridor is the buffet. As a result, during your treatment, there is so much external noise from dishes clanging, people greeting each other, clients being thanked before they leave their rooms - everything is audible that it made it impossible to actually relax. Someone also thought it would be ok to knock at the door to ask the masseuse something in the middle of a treatment. Really ruined the massage. 5) No windows in the entire spa. The reason I booked at this spa is because of the rave reviews of the view. You can see NOTHING from the spa. It's small, dark, dinghy and windowless. Even cruise ship spas are bigger and better. In summary: Don't waste your money on this spa. There are many better alternatives. Read less

We recently celebrated my wife's birthday, and the experience was nothing short of extraordinary. From the seamless booking process with Sylvia to the thoughtful extra care provided by Teboho when I had concerns about the weather, every detail was handled with exceptional service. Teboho went above and beyond to reassure me and ensure the mountain picnic would be special, even if the rain had interfered. Thankfully, the weather was perfect, allowing us to enjoy breathtaking views and impeccable service from Godwin, who took care of us from start to finish. My wife is still talking about the thoughtful gift she received at the end of the day. Thank you to the entire 12A team for making this a memorable experience—one we will cherish forever! Read less

The staff - housekeeping, waiting, cabana, front desk, concierge - are all extremely friendly and attentive. There was nothing they couldn't sort out. Every meal I ate at this hotel was great - from the high end Azure Restaurant to the breakfast - also, the Leopard bar atmosphere is great. I am not a huge fan of views but the view from the Leopard Bar at sunset is beautiful. Lovely Negroni mixed by the bar tenders and a very accommodating Hostess. Loulou, the driver took us to Restaurants in Camps Bay and was always there when he said he would be to pick us up to go back to the hotel. Imran, very kindly took me out cycling on the complimentary mountain bikes and showed me all the local routes. We will return to Cape Town, as there is so much to do, and will only stay at 12 Apostles. Read less
