Worthing Court Apartment Hotel

Barbados, Caribbean

Virgin rating

The hotel

A hop from the sands of Worthing Beach, this is a slick little set up for those wanting a private bolthole, just a few minutes’ stroll from a top Bajan beach. The setting also puts you around five minutes from party-central, St Lawrence Gap, and 10 minutes from Oistins (a must on Friday nights, when the Fish Fry draws in the crowds). You can whip up your own Bajan bites in your apartment’s fully decked out kitchen – but the local dining venues and poolside treats of Worthing Court’s own restaurant may both be too tempting.

Room 207 is on the last block. The room is adequately sized for 2 people. Two single beds pushed together were fairly comfortable. The room was clean but very dated furniture/bathroom fittings & really could desperately do with updating. A/C was great & very welcome..it’s hot hot hot! Large fridge to store cold drinks/foods. Pool area is small with only a few (tatty) sunbeds but the pool is cool & inviting. Breakfast a bit hot and miss, the first time we had a lovely omelette but a few days later we tried full breakfast & it was very poor at best, couldn’t eat mine, cold beans, overcooked eggs & fatty bacon! Big Massey supermarket at the back of the hotel & a bus stop directly out the front of the hotel to take you around the island. Worthing food court at night is a must, as is St Lawrence Gap. Nothing going on at the hotel other than on a Friday night when they have karoke. Loved Barbados but wouldn’t stay here again, it just wasn’t for us. Read less

Really large room and balcony with lots of self catering amenities - everything is very clean. All the staff we spoke to were really friendly and helpful - especially when I locked our stuff in the safe accidentally. Area really nice can walk out to the food trucks just behind and shops and bars. Very good 3* self catering option.

My frustrations...though minimal was the low water pressure in the shower and basic cable channels for some prime time TV watching, although there's Netflix I'll definitely stay here again and would recommend to future travelers.
