I did not feel that at all at this Conrad. Everything was absolutely perfect from arrival to departure. The staff here is absolutely amazing. They were the most professional and friendly staff I have ever encountered a property like this. The room was absolutely gorgeous! I will definitely choose the Conrad again the next time I am in the area, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Ft. Lauderdale. Read less

Short trip to get away from the New England winter and landed on the Conrad. Glad I did! There are alot of options for high end accommodations in SoFlo and in my humble opinion you should land here. The room was great, heated pool on a cool day (by Florida standards) and the restaurant Takato was fire. All in all its the staff that sets this hotel… Read more

Had the opportunity to stay at the Conrad FL this past April. The Hotel was busy with happy guests, always a good sign. Great service, spacious clean suite and ensuite. The Byredo toiletries add to the experience. The hotel was a pleasure to visit and we plan to return this spring.

We recently stayed at the Conrad Fort Lauderdale for two nights. Positives: Beautiful Beach Day & Great Service: We enjoyed a beautiful beach day with excellent service from the beach staff. Michael: He secured us front-row seats with perfectly set up chairs and umbrellas, providing the ideal spot to soak up the sun. His attentive service and friendly demeanor made our beach day incredibly relaxing. Daniel: Daniel also provided excellent beach service, bringing us drinks and food. He recommended the bucket of margaritas, which was exceptional and had a special refill cost of $42. He also recommended the wonderful quesadillas (available in chicken and shrimp) and the delicious cheeseburgers. The Flamingo Margarita: This spicy margarita with a Tajín rim with watermelon and ghost pepper tequila was truly exceptional. Katrina: Katrina was also a wonderful server on the beach and made sure our 6-year-old had a boogie board, which was a nice touch. Pool Service: Ada was a wonderful pool server, and Naomi set up our chairs perfectly. The pool area was awesome. However, the fries were delivered cold to the pool. Bellman Service: Marcus was also exceptional. He provided clear and helpful directions around the hotel and assisted with our bags both upon arrival and departure, making the check-in and check-out processes seamless. Spectacular Views: The views from the front of this resort are truly spectacular. Takato Restaurant: Upon arriving at the hotel around 10:00 PM, we were able to secure a late dinner reservation at Takato, the adjoining Japanese restaurant. The dining experience was excellent, with exceptional food and service. Happy Hours: Note that there are several happy hours available at the hotel restaurants here although we did not utilize them. In room amenities: We loved the Byredo bath products and Lavazza espresso machine. 2 bottles of water were included. Bedding: Exceptional and comfortable Negatives: Room Issues & Poor Service: Upon check-in, we encountered several issues with our room, which was disappointing considering our Hilton Diamond status. The bath faucet was broken, the sprayer was unable to be shut off and sprayed everywhere like a wild hose when bath was turned on as the pull was broken, the bathtub drain was also broken, there was hair in the bathtub, and the curtains had holes. Furthermore, the shower head was in a fixed position and could not be adjusted, making it feel like a fire hose. This room should have been in non operational status. Impact on Travel with Child: Traveling with a six-year-old, the broken bathtub and the forceful shower head created significant inconvenience and discomfort. Imagine trying to give your child a bath after a long day of travel, only to be faced with a broken bathtub and a shower head that felt like a fire hose. It was a harrowing experience for both of us. Poor Resolution: When we reported these issues, the staff offered to switch our room. However, the promised room move at 11 AM did not happen. After following up, we were told that someone could potentially arrive at 12:15 PM, wasting a significant portion of our day. This lack of follow-through and the apparent lack of training among the staff were disappointing. They insisted they were messaging me to confirm moving our things, but I had been speaking with multiple staff to ensure our luggage was moved and that they had the approval to do so. Meanwhile we were interacting with staff at the beach and throughout the hotel and we had settled at the beach with a tab open so they really could have located us if they really tried. The lag time and lack of standard of practice was frustrating. Second Night Issues: On the second night, we were moved to a one-bedroom oceanfront suite, which was a nice upgrade. However, even after being assured that everything was in working order and had been reviewed by engineering three times, the bathtub was again broken, and we had to have maintenance come up to fix the drain. Note: The tap water in this area is a bright yellow color, which is apparently normal for the region. If wanting to take a bath it could be alarming but they have notecards noting it’s safe. The explanation behind this for the area is that The Peele-Dixie plant was offline after a raw water pipeline was damaged by a contractor installing a drainage pipe at a golf course. The Fiveash plant produces water with a yellow tint because it uses a lime-softening treatment system that doesn't remove tannins from the underground water supply. The city says the water is safe to drink and meets all standards. Missed Opportunity: Unfortunately, the beach staff did not inform us that we should keep our shaker for the week as it would provide discounts for cocktails.A plus was that the food and beverage manager comped us a round of drinks which was appreciated and we got a new shaker. Unfortunately it was again cleared by staff so had we wanted to save it for anymore of our stay to use, we wouldn’t be able to. We were checking out the next day and didn’t plan to utilize it again so we didn’t mention this. Missed Opportunity at the Pool: With such spectacular views from the front of the resort, it seems like a missed opportunity that there is no dedicated service at the pool deck on the front or that this isn’t highlighted more as a lounge area beyond the center bar. It seems like during the day it could be highlighted as the views are spectacular. Surface Level Quality: While the linens and furnishings in the room are modern and excellent overall, and the rooms felt exceptionally clean, it's clear that proper maintenance checks are lacking. On the surface, everything looks nice, but upon closer inspection, issues with operational fixtures and details like holes in curtains become apparent. For a luxury property these things should not be occurring. Below Expectations: Unfortunately, this property does not live up to the standards of the Montage or the St. Regis, or Four Seasons which is unfortunate and makes you question the value of being a Hilton Diamond member.Staff tries hard but it seemed like everything was slightly off here. Overall: While we enjoyed a beautiful beach day with excellent service from Michael, Marcus, Daniel, Katrina, Ada, and Naomi, the pool area was fantastic, we had a wonderful dinner at Takato, and we appreciated the many great staff members making an effort, the significant room issues, the hotel's poor response to these issues, the cold fries delivered to the pool, and the lack of resolution to issues overall significantly impacted our stay and just left a non luxury experience. We expected a higher level of quality and attention to detail from a property like the Conrad. Read less

The employee did a good job explaining the FHR benefits however, she didn't mention and or acknowledge our Hilton honors status. Upon entering our room and attempting to set up the pull-out bed in our suite, we found used linen left inside the pull-out couch. It took multiple calls and almost an hour for housekeeping to show up with clean linens. She was apologetic and helpful in setting up the bed. The rest of our stay was uneventful. The location of this hotel was excellent, and I would probably consider this hotel for future stays given its proximity to the cruise port. Read less
