Truly amazing stay - beautiful hotel and great gardens and areas to walk. A great first welcome on arriving into the lobby with dates and coffee. Concierge staff were excellent and very attentive with bags. Had a very smooth check in experience with Sinara who took care of use from check in, during our stay and also at check out even to extent of helping ensure we made it safely to our next destination as we were moving to another hotel. She also promptly provided us all the information we needed at first check in. Our stay was superb - really appreciated the excellent rooms, beds were very comfortable, great room layout, amazing views, really enjoyed the balcony area. A very good cleaning service for the rooms. Really liked the separate dressing room area in the room. The breakfast buffet was truly a wonderful experience with an amazing selection. The breakfast staff were so welcoming and attentive with all orders and drinks. Served superb coffee. Really also enjoyed visiting the Japanese restaurant Umi which was very delicious. See separate review. The hotel restaurant reservation desk was very helpful for making the booking. The beach area of the hotel was truly exceptional with a very beautiful vibe and great service from the staff providing towels and also the life guards and the great security staff - amazing beach area and spacious place to walk throughout the hotel beach. I liked how there were showers conveniently located throughout the beach and swimming pool areas. What was also helpful was the travel desk/office at the hotel who arranged an amazing tour for us to Jebal Jais and the mountain areas - really useful and well worth arranging tours through them while at the hotel - Sherif John, Farhad and Mary really helped us at the travel/tour desk. Staff throughout the hotel were very friendly and made our stay very cosy. A truly exceptional stay and hope to be back again. Read less

This was my fifth stay at the Waldorf since it opened and the first since the renovation. The property, as always, is stunning with a great lobby and wonderful rooms that are spacious and comfortable. The beach is clean and nice, and perfect for collecting seashells in the morning (big shout out to Shawn, the Sri lankan lifeguard who saved amazing shells for my kids every day). The pools/slides are great, although the water could have been a tid bit warmer. The Lexington Grill and Umi, the Sushi place, are absolutely fantastic - top notch food and service and not to be missed! The falcon in the lobby is a nice touch, but the Falcon show, which is 5 minutes long, is a let down. Now the area for improvement. The breakfast is average at best. I was shocked that the waffles were rock hard and the chicken dumplings were ice cold. The quality of the egg station was not good at all. This was very disapointing. The food at the pool bar was also average at best and the food at Azure, the Italian restuarant was also average at best, with a very limited pasta menu (!) which was uninspiring. I was very dissapointed with the food at these outlets, which almost made me bring the overall star rating down to 4 from 5, but overall positive experiences elsewhere made up for it. The Kids club could be improved and expanded, especially the outdoor play area, half of which is dead space, and is quite limited for a resort of this size. Overall, a very good experience and I will be back. I just hope the food can improve at breakfast, the pool bar, and Azure. Read less

My wife and I ate at the qasr al bahar restaurant and the food and service was amazing. We were waited by Felix who did an exceptional job helping us with food and drinks.
