The Roosevelt is Hollywood's only historic hotel still in operation today. It hosted the first ever Academy Awards in 1929 and has seen throngs of people - including celebrities galore - pass through its doors. The hotel has even been featured in a few films and Shirley Temple took her first tap-dancing lesson on the tiled stairway! As if that's not enough, Montgomery Clift and Marilyn Monroe are reputed to haunt the joint - proof this place is too good to leave!

Glitz and Glamour of a Hollywood stay.

We spent 5 days there to see in New years. Loved it had a lot of Hollywood history and the decor was also in keeping with an Art Deco and 1920s Hollywood hay-day. Staff were pleasant and helpful. The pool area itself was stunning, offering countless photo opportunities. The room exceeded my expectations with its spacious layout, incredible views, and excellent water pressure in the shower.
One of the highlights was being able to walk to Runyon Canyon for a hike, which added to the overall amazing experience. I can’t wait to return!

Our experience was incredible all because of one person, Cody. Cody was the security gentleman working the door. He was extremely professional yet personable and well spoken. He absolutely made our experience memorable. Thank you once again Cody and happy new year.

Very disappointed with our 4 night stay at this hotel. The area is really dingy but it continues into the hotel. Everything feels and looks dirty. People got stuck in elevator on NYE for 45 minutes. The bathroom is horrible. TV doesn’t work. Bathtub fills with water during shower (bathroom is 4 sq ft) no where to put clothes. Pillows are flat. No…

No where to charge devices. Outlets don’t work. Furniture is sticky. Nothing updated since it was built. Would recommend staying closer to the beaches and do a day trip to this street and pop in to see the lobby and leave. After paying top prices to stay here they held another $1200 ($600 x2 rooms) on arrival for incidentals! “Credited back within 23 days”. Do not stay here.
