The hotel

Built in 1957, Mammoth Mountain Inn was Mammoth's first ski-resort accommodation and the only slope-side hotel at Mammoth's Main Lodge. Today it offers activities year round — in summer there's hiking, biking and outdoor adventures, and in winter it's a core skiers' and snowboarders' paradise, with the ultimate entry point to the slopes. Ski to the hotel at the end of the day and you can soon be blowing the steam off your hot toddy. Take a dip in the outdoor pool or one of the indoor or outdoor hot tubs. The Yodler dining terrace is the ideal place for a light snack on a sunny day and the great après-ski atmosphere in the Dry Creek Lounge is further enhanced by regular live music.

In a superb mountain location in Mammoth Lakes. Slope-side at Main Lodge. A 10-minute drive into town.

216 rooms on 3 floors in 3 buildings with 2 lifts. All with HDTV, DVD player, iHome media player, coffee maker, hairdryer, iron and board. Standard Rooms have 1 queen-size bed or 2 double beds, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

2 Queen Hotel Rooms are larger than Standard Rooms, but with a more convenient location, with 2 queen-size beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

King Hotel Rooms are in the main building and have 1 king-size bed, sleeping maximum 2 adults.

King Hotel Rooms with Loft, in the main building, are larger, with 1 king-size bed and a loft area with 1 queen-size bed or 2 twin beds, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

1-Bedroom Condos have separate bedroom, kitchenette and dining area, sleeping maximum 4 adults.

Please note: During winter months, views may be restricted due to heavy snowfall.

From start to finish, my stay was amazing! Cody and Seth at the front desk made us feel so welcome and at home. They went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and answered all of our questions. These two were so friendly and warm, 10/10 hospitality! Definitely will be back

The staff is great. The food is a bit over-priced, and the Ikon pass takeover of all of the amenities on the mountain leaves a LOT to be desired. I wish that this mountain was locally run. We had a great one br condo that had plenty of room. The service at the front desk, ski valet and especially the restaurant was fantastic. A special thank you to Cydney at the front desk for accommodating a special request. We look forward to coming back.

Daniel was such a great receptionist and helped us find the perfect room for our stay. He was very accommodating and patient during check in and the service was great. Very convenient place for skiing with the main lodge right there and the ski valet.

There is also a little fitness room, a small game room, and a bar with dinner and breakfast as well. Lots could be updated, but I found it cozy & convenient. The staff really went above and beyond with remedying a room fix and even sent a special letter letting us know they know what we went through. We were so surprised & all smiles with the kind message and know now we will come back here again, not just for the nice rooms, but for the amazing professional and kind staff. They also have a ski valet and offered boot warming too. We’re really thankful for the kind and friendly front desk staff, food preparers & maintenance. Read less
