The hotel

This historic hotel was built by Vegas legend, Bugsy Siegel back in 1946 and it's seen countless celebrities walk through its doors in the last 60 years, as well as being the backdrop for the original Ocean's Eleven film and Viva Las Vegas. It has an amazing location right in the middle of The Strip and near the fantastic Caesars Forum Shops, with award-winning Flamingo Go Rooms. The hotel is great for kids with its amazing Beach Club Pool. The GO Pool offers a 21+ lively pool party experience with its amazing 15-acre tropical pool paradise, which has whirlpools and four different swimming pools nestled among the lush, green foliage. Then there's the Wildlife Habitat, where the resort's eponymous flamingos hang out with turtles, swans and ducks. There's a choice of seven restaurants including Jimmy Buffet’s Margaritaville and Margaritaville Casino, featuring the 5 O’Clock Somewhere Bar. Margaritaville is as much a state of mind as it is a place. The multi-level Caribbean-themed entertainment venue offers two outdoor patios overlooking the Las Vegas Strip, a nautical-themed restaurant, four distinctive bars, live entertainment nightly (both indoors and outdoors) and a 3,000-sq ft retail store. You can also eat outside by the pool or even enjoy a spot of gambling in the pool casino located at the GO Pool! The spa was amazing. Had one of their signature services that included a foot, lower leg, hand, arm, and scalp massage that was wonderful. Perfect service after walking so much to start the day. I recommend checking the spa out if you are in the area.

The location is excellent—very convenient and close to many attractions, which made it easy to explore the area. However, I faced some issues during my stay. The room only allowed two free internet access points, which was quite disappointing since I had booked for four people. Additionally, the bathroom was not clean when we arrived, which was disappointing and not what I expected from this hotel. Overall, while the location is a major plus, I hope the hotel can improve on its internet access and cleanliness in the future. Read less

This place has zero care factor for their guests. We had multiple issues at check in. It took an hour. And we checked in online earlier in the day. The electronic check in booths failed, we were then told to stand in a long line to complete the check in process again. When you fly in from Australia, you want a smooth process, instead we go treated like a damn nuisance. , I booked 2 king rooms 2 months ago, we ended with 2 queen rooms that were next to a very loud night club next door. It’s 12.30am as l this. After a 24 hour flight time, this is not what one wants in a hotel. The hotel keys didn’t work, had to go back in line for another 30 mins to get new keys. The staff just don’t care, No doubt, l will get a response to say call to discuss and that they apologise for the inconvenience. How about you just make it right from the get go. It’s interesting that l get a ‘personal’ welcome email from the GeneralManager - Dan Walsh to say that here to help and make our trip memorable. Well, you got one out of 2. Memorable it is, helpful, you’re not. My advice, is to pay a small extra and stay elsewhere. Read less

Flamingo is centrally located within walking distance of stores and restaurants. Stayed here a couple of time. Missed not having the buffet but a lot of them are closing down. Check in was fast and easy if lined up you can use kiosk. Rooms were large.
