Absolutely loved it . Fantastic location, lovely staff . Hotel a little tired but didn't matter one bit. Beds are really comfy , wifi a little slow. We did all inclusive but went out most evenings. Barbados isn't cheap to eat or drink out . Barbados you have stolen my heart ❤️

Great little 3 star All-inclusive..I get the feeling alot of people writing the negative reviews seem to forget the 3 star part. This hotel all depends on what you are looking for..if you are expecting to just sit at the hotel and be entertained all day you are at the wrong place. If you are looking for home cooked food , fresh salads, fruit and cocktails from the bar. Walk straight onto the beach with no problems getting a sun lounger. Staff are really friendly and helpful all the way through the hotel. Our room was clean ( cleaned every day by a lovely lady ) bed was huge and very comfortable, view was gorgeous. Shower was interesting ( not the most powerful ) but didn't fluctuate in temperature like other reviews have said. After the first shower I realised I could change the jet stream on the showerhead and it was fine. People who moaned about the place were either Americans who just wanted burgers and chips or old people from Cruises who expected 7 star treatment for a 3 star price. Yes it could do with a bit of entertainment and the layout isn't quite right down by the bar..but if you want this place as a base to travel around and see what this wonderful and amazingly friendly country has to offer then we found the positives far outweighed the negatives. Heard the hotel is having a bit of a makeover in a month or so.. personally I thought it had character the way it was but like everything in life..comes down to what you're looking for and what you expect for how much you pay We leave with great memories of this place and we heard so many other guests saying the same...shame people are so quick to write negative reviews rather than the positive Oh and if you don't like cake for dessert they do have ice cream if you ask..shame we only found that out with two nights to go 😂 Read less

Absolutely loved this place. Please ignore negative reviews - they are written by people who have just got off cruise ships and they think this is a five star. Absolutely loved this place. Please ignore negative reviews - they are written by people who have just got off cruise ships and they think this is a five star. This is a soulful three star hotel that has much beauty. The beds in the rooms are comfortable and huge, the rooms have Aircon and the hotel is quiet and clean. The shower was hot. We watched the restaurant team work tirelessly to produce home cooked Caribbean food and there was always something different to choose from every day. I have been inspired to make some different salads when I get back like apple and celery. I loved the cooked ginger carrots too. My partner and I don't eat meat, but we found fresh fish, salads, a variety of veg, sometimes pasta, loved the rice and peas. fresh pancakes, omelettes and fruit in the morning. We absolutely loved the food but what we were touched by the most was the people. Gail, Sandra, Zuriel and Crystal (and the rest of the team both in the kitchen and out) all greeted us at breakfasts with the warmest of hearts. Akala went above and beyond in the evenings to make some special ice cream. Gabriel with the best smile, Sean and Mark all made us amazing virgin Pina coladas on the bar and Justin and the housekeeping team all made sure our beds were beautifully made, and left us bottled water daily. (Bring your own coffee if you don't like instant) Steve on the beach beds and umbrellas was awesome and everyone was so happy to help us with info. The hotel shares the same beach as Sandals (it was windy and red flags were out most of the time) and our hotel was a great place to bounce off to see the local area like Carlisle Bay (half an hour in a reggae bus) where the sea was less choppy. Ostins you could walk in twenty minutes. We met a couple who booked Sandals Royal hotel (5 mins away) and they were deeply disappointed - they paid over the odds and they didn't get some of the things we got at this hotel. We were always seated in the restaurant (something that became problematic at Sandals and needed to book) sunbeds were always available on the beach (they struggled at Sandals). The only thing we had trouble with was people who reserved their sunbeds by the pool area and then went back to bed for half the day. Gabriel was amazing though and found us some extra sunbeds but I think the people who stay there, should only be on them if they're using them! The pool was clean (don't believe negative reviews) and the sunbeds by the pool had cushions. There was entertainment every night and maybe the only suggestion I would say is that maybe you could add some warm fairy lights and a couple of fire pits to make the area more magic. We absolutely loved the hotel and we are taking a bit of Barbados home in our hearts. Your team are fantastic. Thank you for all being so genuinely beautiful. Read less

Reception staff were lovely, also the Restaurant & Bar staff. I had no problems with my room, cleaned every day, sheets and towels were spotless. Yes the water can be cold at the start, but let it run and it will be fine. Food was excellent, loved the soups and omelettes. Drinks were proper Coke etc and had lots of daiquiris! Hotel has some lovely singers and steel drum entertainment at night. Booked the mini bus to Oistins, enough time to see everything and have a meal down there, first time I had tried blue marlin, lovely. Felt safe to go about on my own, loved Reggae bus, Bridgetown and all the beaches! I will definitely stay at the Barbados Beach Club again. Read less

Hotel First impressions on arrival: tired, dated reception; someone said it looks like a counter at a post office. Room No hot water on the first night, there were loads of scale on the toilet, the balcony need a paint job, and nails were sticking out of the wood. One night, we had ants in the bed, the Furniture was dated drawers on unit squealed when opened, the shower head in need of descaling, the Room Wi-Fi was nonexistent, and the hair dryer couldn't switch off had to get maintenance urgently. Housekeeping Narden was brilliant with what she was able to do. The room fridge had to be unplugged at night very noisy couldn't resolve this. The socket on the wall near the fridge is loose. Air con control climb over bed to turn on/off to adjust. Canteen/restaurant Plates are cold, therefore, putting warm food put on a cold plate = food not being very hot we did complain action nil. Don't leave your food unattended as the birds will be on it having a nibble..even when food came off the BBQ it wasn't hot. Cheese board needs to be put on ice as it sweats. Duck rolls are not crispy they taste like uncooked. Watch the holes at bottom of servers bar late evening bugs come out then vanish back when foot traffic gets near. If you get a smile from anyone in there your lucky. The area near open window areas was filthy and rusty. Pool area Not enough sun beds The eight around pool reseed by 6.30 am even though not used till 10 am only got a sunbed once in two weeks beech towels have to pay deposit for a towel that is so thin. The pool is quite small Communication Your rep only wants to tell you about what they have trips to sell no help there. Does the hotel communicate what facilities there are NO only found out two days before coming home that they have a tennis court and fitness room. Also, on the trip to Oistins, having been to the reception to enquire about this, at no point did they say oh you need to book a shuttle. did get a ride in it; however, the front seat doesn't lean on door or you could fall out what a reck. So many times, it's like getting blood out of a stone to find things out. Wi-Fi best place to get this is to sit in the reception area. I was also concerned about the way management told staff off in front of guests. Beach The beach was full of seaweed despite efforts to dig holes and bury it. The sea here is very rough, and I didn't even get a chance to swim in the sea so sad The whole place wants a complete facelift or pulling down; we paid a lot of money to go here. If you want my view, don't even entertain it. Read less
