The 3 star rating only reflects lack of spa, beauty, gym etc. This hotel is not a generic “you could be at any hotel venue in the world” which is reflected in the price you pay. This is a beautiful place to go and enjoy every moment. We had the best of times with all of our family including young children who were made very welcome, and will definitely be re visiting ASAP subject to it being available. Malek the GM and his team did everything to make our stay most enjoyable, thanks to all and keep up the brilliant work. Read less

Shaun behind the bar does some fabulous drinks. All of my meals were really tasty. The hotel had some entertainment on every night and they try and cater for everyone. Hotel is in a quiet area but if you want bars and restaurants they are a short walk away in St Lawrence Gap. The beach was clean and the sea was lovely and clear. Yes it can be quite windy and the waves can be quite big but it's much calmer by the Sandles hotel two doors down where they have built the rocks to stop the waves. I would come back here again Read less

We selected this hotel as week 2 of our Tui Caribbean cruise and stay holiday in Barbados. Yes it is a little dated BUT very clean. Our room was cleaned and serviced daily. The restaurant was immaculate. All staff following health and hygiene regulations, hairnets gloves etc. Food was well presented and there was a variety of dishes to select from at each meal. This is a small hotel with one bar and one restaurant. Entertainment was good too. A lot of rude people were complaining about things throughout the week. I have to say to them you only get what you pay for!!!!!!! When choosing which hotel to stay at in Barbados after our cruise, this hotel looked best value for the price. Most other hotels on offer were room only basis, this was AI Barbados beach club has its own beach with complimentary sun loungers and parasols. So, to all those moaners last week, You get what you pay for and do your research before travelling Read less

Kind and caring staff, fantastic food choices four times a day, fabulous beach location, clean and spacious rooms and varied entertainment. All of us could not have asked for more. I would not hesitate to come back. I have previously stayed at the Sandpiper 5* hotel in Barbados and I thoroughly recommend the Barbados Beach Club as fantastic value. Read less

We’ve just returned from a great family trip staying at the BBC (7 adults and 8 children). It’s a functional hotel and gives you everything you need- spacious comfortable rooms, a pool, a bar, the beach and delicious food- my 10 month old was eating everything on offer and was thriving! We especially loved the afternoon tea served between 4 and 5 which was sandwiches and freshly made cakes. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. The front desk and the ladies in the restaurant particularly were fantastic. My son loved the tortoises and they were well looked after in a large pen with water and fresh food (of course it’s leftover fruit and veg and others have said below, but that’s what tortoise’s eat!) I’ve been to Barbados twice before and stayed at the colony club (5 star), and the Raddison aquatica (4 star). I was really pleased with this hotel for the price. I think others writing negative things below need to consider Barbados is a luxury destination, and if they want to stay somewhere with immaculate tiles and a rainfall shower then it’s going to cost! Lots of people stay at this hotel as part of their cruise package so I think expectations are high, and this is the fault of their touring company, not the BBC. I did witness some guests being extremely rude to staff, one complaining she didn’t have enough blankets in her room?!! And her room was too cold. Bizarre…. Just to mention the hotel has nightly entertainment, but this is mainly in the form of singers and a DJ. They do organize trips such as the bus to oistens on a Friday. Overall we were really happy with the BBC and we’ve made memories to last a lifetime. Read less
