Unfortunately we felt that the main restaurant let it down, far too small for the size of the hotel, hotel wasn’t to full capacity when we visited, but it couldn’t cope at times resulting in having to wait for a table and the food to be replenished. The biggest problem in our opinion was the number of children still running around the restaurant after 8pm. We felt it would have been so much better if families had their own designated area and maybe a time limit for children under 10. We are grandparents so do not dislike children. There are building works taking place nearby so very noisy at times, starting at 6.30/7am everyday. Staff on the beach very good and amenities cleaned regularly. Read less

5 stars all round to this hotel. We travelled with our five month old baby and loved our week here. The hotel is beautiful, the pool and facilities are well maintained and the beach is lovely. The resort is very family friendly, and quiet compared to Dubai. The staff at the hotel are so friendly, and always went out their way to help us. At breakfast Juni and Simran would always be welcoming especially with our little one. I contacted the hotel before booking to ask them what would be the best accommodation type for our family. I also asked some information about the construction work which is happening next door. The reservations team were very quick to reply and gave me information on their room types and food options of half board and all inclusive. To minimise noise disruption I booked a seafront Villa, which was a big room and gave us ample space for the little one. This room is also on the opposite side of the construction. When we checked in the hotel was able to offer us early check in at 8 am, which was perfect for our baby. Half board options are good, we ate several time at Levant. we were able to use the dining credit towards the a La Carte menu on the days when we didn’t want the half board set menu. We also used half board at lunch some days - when visiting other restaurants in town in the evening. Overall, this was a great stay and I would highly recommend this to couples, families or even friends just wanting to get away Read less

Very nice room with fantastic bath in the club building, balcony with lovely day bed on the balcony too! Downside was the build up of dust on the balcony furniture from the local building sites and other works and the noise, they worked 7 days a week; one day on a Sunday, starting at 6:30am, lunch break 13:30-13:30 then finishing after dark, maybe 5:30-6pm. We were informed of the building works at adjacent resorts nearly beforehand, but it was the slip that was being built, continuously dismantled boulder by boulder then rebuilt over the stay numerous times, that was so noisy. Boulders were dropped into the back of lorries, dumped by the digger then the digger dropped them and smashed them down. We regularly went to the club lounge for breakfast and evening drinks with canapés, the staff were very attentive and friendly, thank you! It was wonderful to use the warm club pool, as it was not busy and no children were allowed (we are grandparents and were appreciative of this!). The main restaurant was very busy at times where we had lunch every day. The vast buffet selection was very enjoyable and the chefs were very helpful. We did encounter a group party in the restaurant one day, they used the beach facilities then the restaurant and it was crazy, a lot of the food was not replenished quickly, we waited at our table for 20 minutes before going to the buffet to give them a chance to restock. I did give my feedback and suggested that in future, groups should not use the resort’s guests restaurant but the separate conference building’s facilities. It was a shock to see a large party (40+?) use the resorts beach and main restaurant, I have never experienced this before in any hotel, and definitely not an Intercontinental Hotel. Restaurants stated online that children up to a certain age were allowed until 8pm; they were still coming in to eat after 8pm and the noise from their screens, running around (one young one near the fire put!) was not expected and as a couple, spoiled our time. We were all inclusive but found evening set menus very short of choice. We then selected from a la carte and had 120 Durham credit each. Food was fantastic in Noho, and Levant and Nar from this menu, thank you chefs! Overall a fantastic resort and will be worth a revisit once all local works have been completed. Read less
