The hotel

Little VIP touches make a stay at the boutique Sea Breeze Beach House feel all the more special. As you sink into a sun lounger, the pool and beach attendants serve cold drinks, mist you with a refreshing spritzer, and offer delicious sorbet tasters. Its 3-acre gardens and 1,000 ft stretch of silky white sands create a sense of space, while Bajan accents like palm trees, beachside dining, and rum-infused treats create a sense of island living. Families and couples can enjoy their own zones, with a space just for grownups featuring a pool, Jacuzzis and oversized loungers — a brilliant break from the buzz around the family and lap pools. Even the beach caters for all, with a lively water sports stretch and a more peaceful patch. The luxury suites are wonderfully spacious, have beautiful ocean views and extra amenities, and with two, three and four bedroom options available, you can have an All-Inclusive experience with a 'villa' feel. Whether à la carte or one of the themed buffet evenings you'll love the food, and we recommend that you don't miss the opportunity to get the sand between your toes at the 'Shoes Optional' Beach BBQ held on Sundays.

Stayed in a poolside ground floor room which was a good size and well appointed. The bed, in particular, was very comfortable. Stayed on an ‘all inclusive’ basis and the food and drinks were both excellent and of a good quality. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only small grumble is that not all the staff are as accommodating as others and some of the waiters need to be instructed in how to serve food and drinks, in particular not reaching across people. A small gripe but slightly annoying. Read less

We had a lovely welcome at check-in and after a rum punch in the Cerulean bar we were soon shown to our room. We’d booked a Classic Ocean View but were given an Ocean Front room (130) and we really liked having our own sun beds on the terrace. The room suited us very well, our only issue was the poor shower water pressure, but it wasn’t a major problem. We liked that this is a smallish 122 room resort, but there are several options for eating and drinking, 3 swimming pools to choose from and it felt very well staffed for the number of guests. Drinks were really nice with cocktails all freshly made and there’s top shelf spirits – Grey Goose Vodka and The Botanist Gin for example. We liked the white plastic cups used during the day, they looked much smarter than the usual (scratched) clear plastic you normally get. There’s 3 different Argentinian white wines, 3 reds (Malbec was very nice), a rose and a French sparkling. Breakfast in Mahogany was very good, though the serving area can get a little crowded and could really do with being larger. The choice was good, though some soft baps would be nice and I did miss smoked salmon with my scrambled egg. As mentioned by others, Marcie the egg lady is terrific. Lunch is at the Mahogany buffet, the Flying Fish or Tipsy on the beach and I must say, some of the curries at Mahogany were wonderful. I loved the curried lamb hot pot pie, and the desserts were fab. We enjoyed dinner at all three main restaurants as well as the weekly beach barbeque and didn’t have any issues booking them in the mornings. It’s worth attending the manager’s cocktail party where you can meet Matthew and some of his team, who seem to really enjoy their jobs. That goes for all the staff across the resort, they are a lovely group of people and a credit to the hotel. The weekly Fashion Show is also worth attending – hilarious. The beach is beautiful, and we enjoyed swimming out to the floating rings and getting bobbed around in the waves. If it’s a yellow flag or less, it’s well worth getting one of the water sports guys to take you out for 30 minutes on a Hobie Cat, there are some great views from the ocean. The clientele are 90% British and in the main they were a very friendly bunch and we made some nice holiday friends. On our last day we had to vacate the room at 11.00, though our pick-up wasn’t until 17.00. No issue though, we spent a lovely day near the Tipsy bar on one of the Bali Beds and then used the shower rooms, which are conveniently located near the luggage room, to get ready to leave. For the 15 – 20 minute transfers we pre-booked Andrea (mentioned in the TA Barbados forum) and she was brilliant and charged $60BBD each way. Barbados airport is definitely one of the better ones in the region, with a very nice design and a speedy transfer through it both ways. Just a shame about the Concorde exhibit... A big thank you to Matthew and the team, we had a fabulous 10 night stay. We’ve been lucky enough to visit to several of the islands, but I think Barbados is our favourite and we hope to return to the Sea Breeze in the near future. Read less

My husband and I couldn’t have asked for a better place to spend our vacation. Every single member of the staff was warm and welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We’d be happy to stay at the Sea Breeze again anytime.
