My husband and I absolutely love staying at The Shelburne Sonesta New York. It's always our first choice when we're in the city, and this visit was no exception. I had left a few items behind and was dismayed to think they were long gone, but Arelis Nuñez, the Assistant Director of Front Office, went above and beyond to ensure they were safely returned to me. House keeping maintained our room to a high standard and they were always patient even when we had a later stay in the room.
This was the third hotel in three weeks and we found it outclassed the other two.

The staff went out of their way to make you feel welcome and nothing was too much trouble, from helping with bags, providing travel adaptors, extra pillows, giving recommendations and organising transport etc. Every staff member we interacted with was so lovely but the two that made my mum and I’s trip were Luis and David.
The hotel is in a superb location, everything is walking distance - 5 mins to Grand Central, 15 mins to 5th Ave, 20 to Broadway / Times Square & 30 mins to Madison Square Garden / Penn Station.
