The hotel

A sure family favourite, Disney's Pop Century celebrates fads of the 1950's through to the 90s. There's something for everyone here - you'll love the themed pools, complete with water jets, and you can dine in a relaxed fashion at the food court. Heard such great things about this resort. As passholders, we've stayed at a variety of Disney resorts over the years. Decided to try this based on the reviews and the access to the skyliner. Turns out the skyliner was the best part of the stay. The room was fairly small and had a murphy bed as the secondary sleep option. The primary bed was a mattress on a platform and it squeaked and groaned every time you would move or try to roll over, waking your sleeping partner. On top of that, we had a family that sounded like a herd of elephants overhead. We are early to rise and in the parks all day, then retreat to the room to relax and go to sleep around 10:00. The people above us would come back around 11:30-midnight, walk loudly around the room and all take showers which made a fairly loud whistling noise while the water was running. Could hear every time a toilet flushed too. Way too much shared noise between rooms. Needless to say that we didn't sleep well at all, which isn't a good thing at Disney. Was also surprised that housekeeping is only every other day and with taking showers every night we really went through towels and the small wastebaskets began to overflow. I really hate to pile on and complain but the food in the cafeteria was really pretty awful too. Not a lot of choices and definitely sub-par for Disney. Everything is also quite spread out so if you don't want to do a lot of walking after a day in the parks, it really can't be avoided. The theming is cute and the staff we interacted with were great. But it just isn't the resort for us. Just wanted others to be aware in case your needs are similar to ours. Read less

We stayed here in 2023 for our honeymoon! Absolutely amazing. All the staff were fantastic. They couldn't do enough for us. Disney also provided us with $600 Disney Dollars to spend on food and drinks during our 14 day stay. We will 100% be returning to Pop Century very soon. Honesty the best holiday I've ever been on hands down! Read less

The actual looked amazing. However, you can only get to ecpot and Hollywood from the skyliner, which can make people nervous. Another problem I have is there are so many different buildings it's amazing. Amazing how easy it is to get lost, that is. The food was decent. Overall, the rooms were great, but the bathroom clogged easily, not sure why. I… Read more

Our stay was fine but not sure I understand the justification for the extra cost compared to the All Star resorts. We were frustrated by the skyliner. Really comfortable beds and sheets. The Murphy bed was great for the kids. All cast members we encountered were nice. Food court is not the greatest. Better options at Art of Animation. Read less

This is a great hotel for families! We had adjoining rooms and it was nice. The shower is big and the bed has 8 pillows on it. As for the bed we feel they should replace them. Comfy but creaky and high. All in all we enjoyed the food for breakfast before making our way to the parks. Having the Skyliner right there to take us to EPCOT and… Read more

We did enjoy some pool time to. Fun for the kids!1 Read less
