The rooms are trash. Not worth the money they charge at all. The rooms smelt like mildew as if the room had flooded at some point. There was water damage in the closet. Pretty much everything made from wood in each room needs to be replaced. The main phone didn't work in our room. I'd never go back or recommend this place until it's upgraded.

This was absolutely the best vacation ever. The staff never told me no to anything. They made my birthday experience so special. I went for my birthday. They made it so special. They were so accommodating to my needs. Everyone gave me a bottle of champagne when they knew it was my birthday.

It's not a party like reviews say. The entertainment staff is awesome, but since they were bought out 2 years ago, it's pretty low key. Pools are cold. Decent brands of alcohol is hard to find, they have a lot of cheep stuff. Resort was big, and very clean, but lots of wear and tear on the building itself at breathless.

We stayed at Breathless Montego Bay for 5 days and 4 nights in December. We had a Xhale Junior Suite Swim Out room. The weather was beautiful, the resort was beautiful and overall we had a great time. We arrived to our hotel a little early so the room wasn’t ready however the staff was really nice and gave us access to the pool and/or lounges area and drinks . The wait wasn’t that long as I mingled with other individuals in the lobby. After our room was ready, we were introduced to our Butler David. David was amazing. He definitely made sure he took care of us during our stay. Sending daily updates to inform us of what was going on throughout the resort, arranged a birthday package for me since it was my birthday (which was absolutely beautiful), booked reservations when needed and quick to respond whenever I needed to ask a question or had a concern. I told my boyfriend I could do this every year and I would most definitely request David if I decided to stay at this hotel. The hotel was a little dated as I enjoy staying in luxury, upscale hotels. Our room aesthetics were nice and truly a vibe but the wood was faded, the lamp shade were damaged and I didn’t like the fact that were couldn’t stream tv services like Netflix or Hulu since we did spend sometime in the room relaxing. My Hunnie enjoyed the swim out room the most and it was really nice however we were on the end and they were possibly cleaning up from the earlier storm so it would sometimes be loud in the mornings or when we’re at the swim out because they were updating/up keeping the grounds. The jacuzzi on the outside was dated, rusted and didn’t even come on but I was okay with that because of the swim out. Food was okay, I found work arounds but my Hunnie is vegan so it made it a little more difficult for him. We placed an order online one night for food because we decided to stay in. Food never came so we called because of course we were hungry and they ended up finally showing up with the food. I was disappointed in this behavior but honestly overall our vacation was a pleasant one and great experience. I told my Hunnie I would go back every year because I love the vibes bur hopefully they begin to invest more in the property on the inside. The outside was beautiful. Read less

I wanted to post our review of our stay. My husband and I stayed on the breathless side January 16-18. We were supposed to stay until the 19th but left a day early due to a storm back home. We had an overall nice stay with a few hiccups. The resort itself is nice but definitely shows a lot of age/wearing. I’m not sure what kind of upkeep they do, it you can see where things need more care. They are a lot of loose stones around the pool area so be careful. The hot tub that was on the balcony was extremely rusty to the point where we didn’t even want to use it. The water was also a little brown when we turned it on so we didn’t even try to get in. Also every time the room above us used their hot tub it POURED water onto our balcony. This was a birthday trip so i had called to let them Know and i was told we’d get whatever they do for birthdays. When we got to our room we did have the Happy Birthday banner on the door and when we got inside we saw that it was fully decorated with balloons. I thought it was just what they did and did t think anything else. After returning from dinner that evening we got a call from the front desk that they were coming to take down the balloons. The staff came in and told us they had given us the room that was supposed to be for another guest and they needed to take down the balloons and give them to them. They took them all and told us that if we wanted balloons we could have them at an additional $60. Food was just ok nothing special. I k ow food overall at most AI isn’t the best but we’ve had better. We ate breakfast at Breathless and had dinner and lunch at secrets one day and weren’t impressed. We did end up going off the resort to eat. That was expensive because they charge $60 round trip through the hotel for a taxi. We did enjoy the drinks though! The entertainment was actually pretty good. Mostly at night, but they did have some during the day but there seemed to be more participation at night. This was our first ever stay at Breathless/ Secrets so I was expecting much more. I’m not sure that we’d go back but are open to other Breathless/ Secrets Resorts. Read less
